@@draggy6544 Its extremely easy to get a nice exhaust note out of a catless 3.0t, you just have to be willing to do the research, and spend a little extra money. Im sure the RS5 is an extremely nice car to drive too. That specific 4.2 it has is very special. but honestly its performance is lacking compared to even a lightly tuned S5. I also love the supercharger whine, and the way the properly set up catless V6 sounds like a flat 6 at high RPMs. Frankly though, if i had the money for an RS5, id simply buy a porsche. For where im at financially, the S5 was the best bang for my buck. for less than 20k i got extremely loud supercharger noises, a dct, an awd system capable of sending 85% of the power to the rear through a torque vectoring diff, and best of all, a super common platform with lots of DIY maintenance & repair support, as well as aftermarket support.

The 4.2L RS5 has more torque and power output at higher revs, so this would make sense given that she begins to redline at 8,200 RPM, and at just 30mph you could be in 2nd, which would mean she's probably at about 3.5-4k RPM so when you step on it you're basically just entering the power zone. Really interesting given that the heavily modded S5 was 500+ BHP. It just goes to show numbers are not everything.

Being honest to you guys. I could not care less which car is faster as long as its fun to drive. I always dream about 700-800 HP tuned Cars like a RS6 V10, RS6 C7, M4 and so on ... but in the end all you have is numbers on some paper. You can't have fun with that massive hp numbers. Most of the time im in traffic, or landroad driving or simply want to chill. I live in Germany and i have a unrestricted autobahn 9 mins from here that i can drive as often as i want. But all that high hp numbers and acceleration is not worth the trouble that it creates with engine wear. The running cost is enourmous if something breaks. And im always chained on the speed limit if i drive to regular places i visit. Always wanting to push the car. Thats why i went with the RS5 instead of a 7 year more modern, faster and more reliable V6/R6/i4 ... its the driving feel thats important to me. if its fun to drive the car daily without speeding like crazy, its what i want.

I have a bunch of cars in my personal and company fleet and also access to friend's cars etc. Earlier this year I had the budget to trade-in several vehicles to buy a brand new RS4/5/6/7 or even a decently priced used supercar. The thing is I preferred superchargers over turbos and love manual NA cars but also have three kids so a 2 seater wasn't practical and I hate SUVs. I ended up with a 2016 S5 Fastback with 4 doors and a practical boot which is obviously supercharged and 7 speed S-tronic which received a full custom exhaust and Stage 1 ecu/tcu tune. I also got a 2007 B7 RS4 which is obviously manual and relatively practical. The tune stock but I put on a Milltek catback and did a carbon clean. The result? Best of Both worlds really. Drive the RS4 when i feel like i want some more analog and raw manual V8 fun and daily drive the S5 which is faster when I need it to be. Would've loved a B8/8.5 RS5 but pity they only came as a two door option.....

Tuned s5 is only faster till the rs5 is tuned I own stock s5 b9 and have no intention of tuning it bought it for the balance of power to fuel consumption and while tuning might be fun I prefer not to have to run to petrol station every journey

Tuned, NEWER AND FAR more power? How’s that even a competition?

Even though the S5 "newer" they're still both the b8.5 chasis. The only difference performance wise is v6 SC (this particular one tuned) vs V8. Think the main point here is showing the potential of the S5 vs RS5 of that gen.

The S5 had 100hp on the RS5. Next video - Tyson Fury Vs Floyd Mayweather.
