I could really do with the part number for your bumper cover (the one you removed over the top of the bumper to gain access to the front bolts of the braces) and the brackets that the body clips fastened into 👍

Hi, how did you find the torque number for the crossbar? I want to change the air filter on my D5 but could not find the torque value.

All torque numbers come from the Audi workshop manual. You can buy time limited access through Audi

I took off the surround that was in place and just used 3m double sided tape to secure the registration directly on the grill

Hi there, no surround. I removed the surround and secured the plate directly to the grill using 3M double sided tape.

I normally REMOVE the FLEECE BLANKET around these filters (4h0129620m). It doesn't seem to do much except introduce extra flow resistance and cause the filter to clog sooner. Anything that can get through the fleece can also get through the paper pleats and vice versa. Like the STUPID oil strainer buried under the charge and IC pipes it seems like an unnecessary bit of German engineering doing more harm than good.
