Great video, Bryn. Thanks for demystifying all the things that local garages charge you a fortune for 👍👍

Billy Cloude had to burn my ABS sensors to fit my new one. Garages was going to charge me over £800 to do all 4 when I only needed 2 replaced. Love you video Bryn

Duuuuude, I wish this existed when I had my 225 - all the previous videos our there are for the front ones which are a piece of piss to sort. I was well perplexed by the rears - ended up paying a garage. Thankful for this for when the next one goes! Thanks for putting this up 👌🏻

I managed to change mine without removing the caliper and disk. I removed the allen bolt, sprayed Plusgas all round the sensor. left it 15 mins. Then put a screwdriver in the bolt hole and wriggled it forcibly back and forth while yanking on the cable. Worth a try before removing the brakes.
@BWSTT4 ай бұрын
Those 15 minutes you left it to soak, 3 of those were used to remove the brakes, 2 to knock it through and 3 to reassemble the brakes 🤷🏼

According to VCDS, my rear right sensor doesn't start reading until about 10kmh so I always get the esp light flashing when pulling away from a stop. A few times its felt like its sent power to that wheel when going very slowly in car parks. Got as far as getting the rounded bolt out, couldn't move the sensor so put a new bolt back in until I decide to have another go

Hello, great video. Tell me please, for what reason the distance from the sensor to the comb on the hub may be greater? The sensor is the same in length as the original one, the seat does not contain a washer, but the sensor is located at a distance of slightly less than 1 cm when installed?

Could u please do some things with a 180hp version I would love to see some things in the engine bay I'm having a hard time to do certain things because the car was kinda a hack job especially with the plastic hoses located in the front of the head and all of the weird wires and t's confuse me on the right side where Trans is

I did it differently. I jacked the car up, took off the wheel, and noticed all the rust on the screw. I then put the wheel back on and took it to the garage. There was no way I was going to lay on my back trying to extract a broken screw for a hour. Let someone with a lift do it, if it breaks

any tips if the bolt is rounded of like mine is on mine 😩
@ukpkmkk_22 жыл бұрын
Mine too got rounded then the head broke apart (not off, which is 10x worse) But you treat it like every broken bolt.. First try pliers, then welding, then drilling with a reverse drill bit, then using an extractor and if all fails milling, although you might need to tap a new thread and use a bigger bolt or use a thread repair kit..

"Tap it out with a small punch" I had to destroy mine with with a long thin screwdriver, no amount of tapping would shift it. It was a twenty year old one though.

Then good luck, you’ll need to find a way to remove it, if you remove the tie bars and drive shaft to may still be able to do it in situ, but at that point I’d probably be removing the arm
