You still stand out with all your instructions! I did come up with a twist on your process that made my removal and installation a piece of cake. Being an avid cyclist, I retrieved a micro-mini ratchet from my bike tools that not only slipped easily into place but left ample space to operate one-handed during the removal and reinstallation of the mounting screws. I would caution you to trace your hoses forward and aft before calling it a day to make sure you have not accidentally kinked a hose and hampered the circulation of the coolant! Andy, You Da Man!

Dear Andy, does this auxiliarry water pump should be on all the time? In my tt 225, it starts to sound even before starting the engine . And after driving remains on for around 10 minutes ?
@andycharger2 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan. There is some “after run” for the aux pump after the engine is turned off. I believe this is to continue cooling components such as the turbo after the engine is switched off. This kicks in, even if you turn the engine on and then switch it off immediately. So I think this could cause a fair bit of battery drain on my particular car! It is normal though.

Going to do this on my Lilac 225. Does the 180 have an auxiliary coolant pump? I’m not sure it does….
@andycharger Жыл бұрын
Hi. No it does not have one on the 180 or 150 as they run a smaller turbo that does not get as hot. This pump is use to cool the turbo post spool down when you turn the car off. Good luck with the job. It’s pretty straightforward! 👍
@eddherring4972 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the vid, it took 10 mins because I removed the slam panel trim for easier access/visibility. The bracket that holds the pump was rusted onto the old pump on mine so I gave it a few taps with a rubber mallet around the bolt side then peeled it off the back, there are two tiny spot welds holding the bracket together and these failed so I put the bracket on the pump and zip tied it tight to make putting the mounting screws in easier. A dab of penetrating fluid definitely helps with getting the screws back in. Thanks again 👍

Hi Andy, I'm looking for the pump and I can't find it, my TT 180cv. carry? or no, Santander Cantabria, thanks friend.
@andycharger Жыл бұрын
Hi there. The 180 does not have the secondary pump. The reason is that Audi only included it as a “run on” pump to cool the turbo after the engine is switched off. You can hear it run after engine is off. I guess they believed this cooling was not needed for the smaller K03 turbo on the 150 and 180 cars. So don’t worry that you cannot find it. It’s not there my friend!

I know yours have those buttons, but do you know if there is a way to see fuel consumption on these cars?
