Hi. I'm thinking about replacing the bushings themselves, because the joints are functional. I'm waiting for the next videos👍

I consider doing that but decided to go with four new arms for $189 from FCPeuro. The ball joints in the new arms are much tighter.

@@daveraymond2265 The bushings can be replaced without removing them from the car. You need a bushing removal kit. It is much cheaper and you don't have to bother with the screw, which is often very difficult to unscrew.

It doesn’t make sense to replace the bushings you’ll spend same amount of money and time than replacing the entire arm with the new ball joints .. ps should have applied some blue loctite on the bushing bolts and the pinch bolt to protect the threads.. and nickel anti-seize to the pinch bolts .. wow I’ve never seen one come out that easily.. has that Q5 ever been in rain? I know it’s never seen any salt .. I’m very jealous that suspension looks brand new for a 12 yr old car

I know. The car is new to me and I have no idea where it came from but it’s safe to say it didn’t come from upstate NY. I can tell you that I have removed that pinch bolt from my previous 2010 Audi, which had 175,000 miles at the time, and while it came out easily it didn’t come out this easy.👊

I just replaced the bushings. $25 each vs $190 for the whole arm. Bushes failed inspection not the ball joints
