Hi, How did you remove the little alignment gears at the top corners? I can't seem to find a way of removing them without damaging them to the point of being not reusable. Thanks for the help!

In most cases you can tighten/ twist the 'alignment gears' until the reflector comes loose.

Cool, did upgrade the fog lights as well?
@Retrofitlab3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Only the low and high beam were upgraded, we have not touched the fog light projector. Easy upgrade would be a LED bulb. Otherwise it would be a new projector and that would be quite an investment (besides possible fitment issues) for only fog lights. And the light output/pattern would be the same as the low/high beam, so it would also not give an advantage for the fog like a real fog light.

Help :) how many years should I replace the bulbs mine was mini primo H1 that I purchased 2 years ago from you since I have to pass test next Nov’ Maybe I’m thinking to upgrade to OPTIMUS but this month I ‘m busy so maybe just good to replace the bulbs only The H1 xenon is only good if I purchase from you this is rather rare type than D2S ( Philips or Osr )

Depends a bit on how many hours a day it is used and for how many days a year. HID xenon bulbs have a lifespan of 2000/3000h hours. But because the output decreases during the time they are used, 1000/1500 hours of use would be a good moment to replace them. After 1500 you can expect to lose around 25% of the capacity, so that's already quite a big decrease. Our basic H1 hid/xenon bulbs have a really good price/quality ratio and when you plan on upgrading I would advise those retrofitlab.com/products/h1-35-watt-xenon-hid-bulbs

do these have the height sensor?
@Retrofitlab3 жыл бұрын
We have never seen height sensors placed in the headlight (usually the sensor is near the struts / lower control arm). Only the height adjustment motors are in the headlight and the height adjustment keeps working like the original.

why 3 nuts?

In a straight line from the bottom point to the top point where the mounting point of the reflector to the headlight is situated (7:21) there is not much space when making the bracket with a straight line from bottom to top, because it might hit the black mounting point. We could have also used that point, but the bracket would be quite thin or we would need to design it that it would be more inwards, towards the lens holder. And taking into account that it is not a problem to mount it on 3 points (more projectors are mounted on 3 points, also OEM, like AL/Bosch single xenon), we decided to use 3 nuts/mounting points instead of 4.
