0:50 communication training program which is a tech and soft skills combined. 8:35 safe space of your team. 9:00 good slides writing practice. 10:40 this is where to nail it. Remember these senior managers have many meetings and you need to put yourself into their shoes and how to add value.

In another video I've asked if you use Confluence. You said no.. So you use Powerpoint instead of Confluence:) ... never thought of that.. so simple, cheap and effective!

Hello Heinrich, thanks for these really useful tips. One question: what would be your three bullet points regarding a presentation that you would do for more operational people (factory manager, or others) in a company, when you are a management consultant ? Thanks a lot for your overall work on this channel, it is great and I hope you will keep creating these high quality videos, and I will definitely check out the online course

Thanks Guillaume, Happy to hear this is helpful! Regarding talking to Ops people, while of course it depends on individual situation, I would in general try to: 1) Show them early on that you "speak their language" and are knowledgeable about their Ops topics. With these factory guys it is important to build credibility from the start and not be perceived as "the consultant from corporate". 2) These guys will not so much care about theoretical concepts, frameworks, strategies, but much more about the nitty gritty details. Be as detailed and specific as possible, show them how exactly the things apply to their factory / plant / production lines. 3) Don't create fancy, beautiful PowerPoint slides but keep it simple and to the point. Slides with lots of colors, graphics, icons might not be perceived well (too much looking consulting-style), rather copy in Excel tables, choose more raw formats etc. Hope this helps. Good luck! Best, Heinrich

Hi Heinrich, I agree, the main challenge would be to cleverly show to Ops that you will work together, and therefore focus on operations details that really matter to them and to which they can relate. Thanks a lot for your quick reply ! Best,

Wow, nice video Heinrich. This type of presentation is what I need, simple and professional. I want to ask you, how about using the table of content on the presentation, is it necessary?
