I like how this one had a lot of call backs to Scream 2. Killers motives being revenge, Gales punch, Gales chase & Chad being alive was exactly how Dewey survived at the end of Scream 2

So 3 is going to have Ritchie’s mentor, a link to either the mother or father of Sam and Tara, and some other thing that goes back to the 5th movie, or even the first, if Stu is alive?

They also followed the Scream 2 blueprint of giving Sam an actual caring and loving boyfriend like Sidney had with Derek, aside from the idea that he, unlike Derek actually survived in this film due to Sam wisely keeping him away for his own protection; to top it all off that he was understanding of it too, which makes him a likeable character & him at least phoning help at the end and checking up on Mindy & Gale was good too. This film also involves the group discussing the suspected killers in a public place, just as Randy, Gale & Dewey did, albeit Randy Meeks died however in the original sequel, which happily, Mindy also references, with Chad being present.

I’m glad I got the same experience in the theaters it’s amazing how people in my family went to the theater to see scream 1996 still watch these movies till this day I love how the new generations are starting in the scream franchise!
