I'm an African from Cameroon. Yes big film industry in Africa is in Nigeria called Nollywood. Of course it's not diverse the movies are design for black Africa. Like any other movies depending on the film story you can have other races depending on the story. We Africans don't have a problem watching a movie with a dominant white people or Asian people. It's normal. We want to discover other people culture and most important to be entertained. If a movie is woke it will generally failed in Africa and many parts of the world. Most people across the world are religious and are believe in moral tradition.

Kenyan here you are spot on. In my country there was a time Chinese and Indian movies were huge and you never heard someone asking "where are the black people?" We enjoyed their stories the same way we enjoy watching Nollywood, South African movies and our own local programs. Even in my country people are starting to be cautious when it comes to Hollywood things because of wokeness. Parents are starting to think twice when letting their kids watch cartoons coming from the West. Now South Korean content is starting to gain a lot of fans.

I'm in IN USA and the majority of what we watch is K-shows. My opinion is 80-90% are great for most series and episodes yet 80-90% have a terrible ending. It's very bizarre. You should watch the first season of Suits Nate its very well written and acted, its very smartly written and had a legal team advising the writers from the start. I lost interest after the second season, but it was a huge hit for AMC at the time and the Dave channel, when it was shown on there. The two main leads are white guys that are always arguing about legal cases (in an amusing way), there's the black chick from Firefly as the boss and a young Meghan Markle (yes Prince Harry's future wife) as the love interest.

The results of the study seem to contradict their conclusions. White male creators and actors seem to be creating the shows and women and back viewers are happily watching them. Shows that have lots of episodes have lots of episodes because they have been successful. The way to create more opportunities for black and women creators is to give them more opportunities to get a start in the industry. This means internships and opportunities to get experience initially on lower budget productions. Not, ask someone with virtually no experience to helm a major Star Wars project as Disney have done. A proper approach to promoting equal opportunities is a long haul project. It can’t be achieved overnight by using quotas.
