This is an Audio Discussion of a carp landing. Evan is a fly fisher new to tenkara. He comes from Texas and enjoying carp on the fly so we decided to target them on our second tenkara outting. He old has used a tenkara rod one other time a week ealier for small trout in Saratoga. On this day he got several hits. Missed a few hook sets and lost two to mis-management. We were commited to bringing one to net and improving his fish management. We talked extensively about the "fishing triangle" and the staying in the power curve as well as keeping his rod about 45-65 degrees off the surface of the water. With coaching, he got the deed done and landed a fisty good-sized carp. We video continued and the result is this conversation afterwards that I thought was worthy of keeping and maybe listening to. Maybe you can take something away from the conversation? We hope so.
