First of all, there's all the proof that it's real, he's in tons of interviews, if you go see the rock it's still there, and there was even a movie about it. And second of all, it's all about survival instict. Human beings will do crazy things to survive. And tons of people say "I could never cut off my own arm". I think you could, I know I'd probably do it, because it gets down to the point where you're gonna die very soon, and if cutting your own arm off kills you anyways, at least you died trying right? Yeah it's gonna be extremely painful, and really hard, but if that's your only option than it's either that or death

I really can't feel sorry for him, for the simple fact that he's an asshole who brought it on himself. He didn't inform anyone of where he was going, or even that he was going. Not a single word to people who cared about him. He also left everything at home; He had a satellite phone, which he decided not to bring along, cause fuck everyone who might worry about him after he just up and vanishes. Would've been a load off their mind to be able to give him a call to make sure he's doing all right, but no! Fuck those people! Satellite phone stays at home! He also owned much better knives/multitools that he could've brought along instead of that rusty piece of shit he did bring. But, yet again; Fuck that! How about bringing enough food and water for the trip he was making? Adding that to the "FUCK NO!" list. Did he even bring anything at all? Well, yeah... He brought his video camera so he could record his own narcissistic ass. He's a self-centered asshole who cared more about chasing adrenaline rushes than the people worried sick about him when he just disappeared without telling anyone, and leaving them with zero ways to check in with him.
