I'd just like to add 12th house isn't about surrender. It's about flowing with life, and living with energetic awareness. Surrender, as presented in most spirituality, is really disenpowering a term....at least for me. I used to think being piscean was to do what I did back when I meditated religiuously and for long periods of time - allowing and just releasing all tension into the "sea" of consciousness. But that's just ONE activity that can be part of navigating life energetically (rather than controlling the 3D like Virgo)...........youre' not supposed to just LET GO, and that's it. That's why we very accurately see "giving up" as a Piscean negative trait ........ in order to SAIL/SWIM you don't just let go into the water.........you actually have to sail/swim later. There's nothing mysterious about this either (there's a lot of superstition out there around the Pisces archetype) - it's understanding the energy physics of consciousness and how it interacts with matter and rthe human psychology - ie becoming metaphysically savvy (thoughts turn into things, mastering the human focus....understanding we are always vibrating and communicating with the whole etc.........and living accordingly). It implies flexibility but NOT lack of "control". It's just a different sort of control than the Virgo archetype. More etheric control...versus physical control.

Well stated thank you:) I think surrender is pretty much what you’ve stated. While Virgo is physical control, Pisces is more so attempting to take emotional control through avoidance of pain. Surrender to the fact that emotions are the internal waters and must be sailed no matter how turbulent.

@@ShadaeBalancesKnightAstro To me surrender was taught as defering to an idea called "spirit" that knows better than you...and exerting no effort unless prompted. Practiced acceptance of the present moment experience, Words and defintions are important though...because the point of spiritually evolving in 2023.....VS the year 1500, let's say, is that we have a more accurate interpretation of reality and the spiritual process. Kinda like many yogis told us to give up the ego in the past...and we now know better than isn't the whole enchilada and can lead to misunderstandings of how to ascend (which is actually more accurately 'descending' :P ....another misnomer) If it were up to me I'd give up on the word "surrender" altogether. It explains nothing to me. And different people will define it differently too. Result....more confusion, less clarity :) 10 years ago I didn't know about navigating life energetically like I talked about above...and if I were to explain to a person just starting...I'd never even use the word surrender. That's what i mean.

Thank you so much for this Tom!! I know someone with Sun, Mercury, Lilith, Juno, Ceres, Pallas is all in Capricorn 12th house and They deal with all the complexities that you describe. However, there is also elements of Fear, Obligation and Guilt due to their partner whose South Node is conjunct the 12th house stellium and personal planets is squaring the Stellium. As complex as the 12th house can be, it becomes exceedingly difficult when synastry activates it. The individual always acquiesces to the demands of the other. It's like their personal will is stunted and obscured.

There's a key to this that to me makes all the difference - you dont' get honest friends by just healing the inner debris that would block them ...... because the physics of consciousness don't have any inherent associations with honest friendships. It's not inner work that you needed to do in this lifetime, that is at stake. What you are really negotiating with, IS YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH THE COLLECTIVE as far as THAT ITEM goes. If I vibrate "everyone has honest friends" If I vibrate "I need to be honest with myself in order to manifest honest friends". If I vibrate ANYTHING else..........there's no inherent meaning to any of these things, but some of them WILL yield results for you depending on everything else you are vibrating. That's why I really have a hard time believing things happen "for our highest good" or even for a reason. Even from a higher plane....why would "spirit" require you to do more than your fellow human to attract the same honest friends he has? So, we don't even need to lose things.....we just need to be lucky to make smart vibrational choices relative to what EVERYONE ELSE is ALSO vibrating (making up the collective).

Death has been a constant on my mind since childhood. The one I was the most afraid of losing was my sister. I never quite felt that I could let her in because I was afraid that one day I would lose her. Well, it happened in 2021. She took her life. I was extremely bitter, because I had no support through my grief process. But the older I get, the more I am understanding that I can't resist the lessons that the universe is trying to teach me. Sometimes, when you are so far off your path, it can feel like the universe is against you. But it is always trying to guide you back home.

Thank you so much! This was so helpful. I call it "opposite land." I've noticed very distinctly that when it comes to intentions, I tend to get the opposite first. Retrograde Venus at 12 degrees, 12th house cusp at 13, sun at 14, plus retrograde Mercury at 27 degrees, all in Scorpio. And ... Jupiter retrograde conjunct IC at 13 degrees Pisces, and therefore trining that sun-Venus-12th house cusp conjunction. No wonder I live in opposite land! Thanks again! I said that years ago to my martial arts teacher not to be addicted to anything on this earth. You can seek everything, but have the understanding that it may be taken away at any moment or over a period of time. If you end up with an abundance of material things or your name goes down in history at the end of your life good for you and your heirs. The only thing you take with you when you leave this earth is your skill. Everything material you leave behind. In sidereal my sun is in the 12th house in Tropical my sun is the 10th house and I follow my intuition and my down loads. I get a spider tingle when something is wrong and later it will reveal itself. I don't ignore signals. I am a Scorpio with Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn MC all in Scorpio. I do have to have alone time an escape root or retreat from the pubic world to create. I love fame and being in the public eye, but I have to have an exit door to leave and recharge. 12 house people can't see themselves or life clearly they need that inner voice or intuition, dreams to guide them. Other wise they live in a ball of confusion or self undoing. Follow your visions.

PS in order to finally get our fence fixed, i have to let go of... not having any real boundaries and being okay (as if) with chaos and pandemonium because that's what I have always known.... I said 'in the Name of the Mother let it be done' 🙏yes gratitude! An hour later, there's a new plan and help for the fence. Dunno how Uranus or Pluto are part of it though. 😅 Edit: the only Asteroid in my 12th that means anything special to me, is Cornelia, and it's exactly conjunct Ur and Pluto. and now i found myself listening to this the third time (and the only podcast at that).. scorpio 12th: ceres (9° deeply in it, 30 yrs of non-life.. 'gland problem' autism, opp chiron'leo & square lilith&saturn'aqua) & pluto (17,5°, very close to 1st). (ixion is in 1st & at 23°! square merc&venus 23°leo & jupiter 27°leo which asc sag5° -> 'half' my ascendant is actually scuarepioness, or call it 'serious sag' or semi scodge/sag&scorp. south node cancer 16° 8th.. cusps are at 20°, very'correct. 12th is in fact ruled by libra which mars,mc,pallas11th involved in 1stdecan- air'grand'trine moon'gemini7th,saturn&lilith'aquarius3d). and yet again 55(likes) that i'ven been encountering many weeks (& my 2 house number adresses etc), & some figures of 6-7(reaching). thanks tom (read saturn return book recently, ..)
