But there is rarely any kind of criminal justice applied to these situations. Most rape and sexual assault is never prosecuted. Why? You have to be the perfect victim. You can't have anything bad in your past, and there are cases where cops try to arrest the victim instead, either saying they are or were prostitutes, which shouldn't matter as rape is rape,or that the women are falsely accusing the man. They don't want to do anything about rape because they believe it doesn't happen as often as it does. Perhaps it's because there are no real prosecutions for most rapes. But there are hundreds of thousands of rape kits just sitting in storage, never processed, even though there is federal money set aside for that purpose. Sex crimes are associated with women and women do not matter. So before you victim blame, which is what you are doing when you say it is the fault of the last rape victim that the next one was raped, keep in mind the women is usually destroyed and the rapist goes free even when we try to bring cases.
