You’re doing the lord’s musical work! Thank you so much! My lc5i pro is showing up today….and I purchased a stinger wiring kit that is specifically for my 2024 ford f150 supercrew plus the lc5i pro! Simplifies the cutting of factory wiring so I can eventually keep my gear when I lose the truck. I’ve got a handful of amplifiers to choose from…and 6x9’s in the front doors, 6.5’s in the rear doors, and 1” in the “A” pillars. I’ve bought 3/4” to replace the “A” pillar 1”’s, 3 way 6x9’s and 3 way 6.5’s. Also, a 10” subwoofer. Hopefully it sounds good with those higher quality speakers amplified. Have to watch this about 150 times after wiring to set everything correctly. Maybe some questions as well.

How does this compare to the jl audio fix 86? This unit is about $275 less than the jl audio and appears to do about the same thing.

This doesn’t compare at all to the fix 86. It would compare to something like dm-608 or dm-810.

Thanks Dean! How does someone know if they need whatever # of channels of high to low level conversion? Can you give examples?

It would depend on the factory system and how many channels it has. Basic radio has 4 channels, system with factory amp can have unlimited. You would us a high to low for every amplified channel used. For a system with a factory amp there may be an interface available bypass the need for this.

You want to add two of what? Two amps you could do but 2 Lc5I’s would be throwing money away. If you want to add 5 or 6 amps to you vehicle there are dsp’s out there with time alignment. Since you don’t have a factory amp you have a lot more options depending on your vehicle. The simple passive line converter like he showed in the video might work. The burnt one was probably because somebody hooked a passive line out after a factory amp. That would be kinda like wiring your car directly to a transformer on a utility pole.

Yes but there are other options that from audio control and others that would be just as good but cheaper.

Grand Morning People's Prior to upgrading my door speakers I would have issues with the volume fading in and out as if I was adjusting the volume, I upgraded the speakers leave the shop and noticed that speaker on the passenger front door kept popping. I go back I'm told that I can't change the head unit because the climate control is integrated into the OEM H/U so they sold me a crossfader that supposed to fix the issue N☹️PE! Now every time I raise the volume it cuts off and the only sound comes from the OEM rear deck subs. Never went back very disappointed in the work they did and on top of all that I took out a loan that still paying on 🤦🏾‍♂️

Great! Another almost useless in newer car loc. 7 out 10 times I do not want the signal in to match the signal out with crappy factory eq curves. Time delay and all pass filters. Audio control needs to stop resting on what they did 20 years ago and make useful products again for modern applications. I don't care how good the quality of the product is. If it isn't what I need and I have to deal with does to people coming in saying I use the LC whatever it just sounds like crap. What did I do? Well you use the wrong device for your car. Stop buying audio control

You do realize that they make 2 stand alone DSP’s and 3 amps with built in DSP (shown in video).They just finished redoing their DSP software that is backwards compatible with all their DSP products.

@@FiveStarCarStereoInc yes so why do you need this then if you have to upsale a DSP to do what this does not do. Average guy don't want a DSP they just want it to work . I know 💯 you know this . I have watched 100s of your videos saying over and over , If you bought a lc2i, 7i ect. Return it it's not what you need . Is it audio controls fault that average consumers don't know how to get the right tool for the job no. But does audio control make it more difficult for the average consumer to get the right product... yes there terminology like , fixes bass rolloff . . Miss leading (inverse loudness) a cross over rolls off . These devices do not fix that. But do to the confusion to average consumers audio control sells way more than they should . Call audio control ask will this work in my 2020 ram premium audio . They say yes . And technically it kinda does . But it don't do the job right. Audio control is falling behind , amp pro , kicker key zen a to b . Real integration tools for newer cars.

​@@paulgood2218i have to disagree with you. Im from south africa and i drive a vw polo 6 tsi. I still have my factory radio in. I hav bought many loc's( devices that was in my budget) and none of them does the job like the lc2i pro made by audio control that i bought. It has improve my voltage coming from my factory radio to provide both my 4channel amp and my monoblock amp driving 2 subwoofers 12" 650rms each easily and clean. Here in South Africa we dont have alot to choose from when it comes to technology, i had to buy mine in the USA and i must say im very impress with this product i wouldnt be surprise if one of these days all new car systems will have units like audio control built in to them from factory. What u dont understand is that there is always that one thing that your factory HU has that a aftermarket wont hav and remember if u buy a car, u buy that car with the factory HU.
