The 4400 and the T2 are greats, nice that there is a cardioid only alternative now in the 4100 and the T1. Great microphones!!!!

@@ObscureMics I love it!!! Thank you! I need to watch your T1 review to see if it’s worth checking out now. I have been holding off on watching your sE reviews… but now I am just too curious! 🤣

I keep seeing this mic up for review and each time im a little more impressed by it. The balance tonally is just superb. Comparatively, the lewitt sounded brittle, the 220 was closer but still brighter, im a fan of darker mics. The K87 was REALLY close sounding (love that mic). Great review as always. Glad to have you back to kickin arse!

Yah, this is the only mic that has even peaked my interest since getting the LS-208. Not as a replacement or anything, it just sounds really good. So much detail.

Great review, Bronson. SE mics just sound soooooo good, and I want all of them! But I will just have to remain satisfied with my already excessive collection of microphones.

I love the sE4100! It hits the sweet spot without getting into extremes. I like it even more than it's 4400 sibling, (which has a darker signature) I especially like the detail/body at the bass frequencies of the voice and the clarity on the mid - high frequencies. It does these without being too aggressive or fatiguing. Side by side with the Lewitt, it even makes the Ray sound a tad too sharp, in comparison. I've listened to reviewers with a high to mid-bassy voices, and this 4100 treats them so pleasingly. That's honestly a tough balancing act to tune a mic for a broad range. sE really has a diamond here.

@@AudioHotline I don’t know why! I’ve always like the sound of you and Barks voices over the mic. It’s part of what got me addicted to using mics and processing and such.

Would you use these as drum overheads? I'm thinking about using these as the overheads for the glyn johns method. Would you recommend a comparably priced ribbon mics instead? Or would $300+ ribbons be terrible

Sounds fantastic! Just one note dude, you (and many others) are using affiliated links that redirect you to third party website, it redirect you somewhere else further, *and then that BS just can not be opened.* And I assume there is a lot of people like me. Don't know a reason, just doesn't work. At all..... So, doing affiliated links through third party "service" just eliminate a whole idea...............

I am not in charge of when links change at these locations. Usually, they stay the same, but with a new product, they can change. Thanks for letting me know! Link is fixed now. I have never been told that anyone dislikes the product page where they can visually click on and see what location to go to, rather than me listing them out. Like everything, there is a first, and you're it for me!
