Slap the Stick is also complete fire, and their album released last week. Bas was a professional pianist, composer and music teacher. Pete has been into jazz and scat for years, which is where a lot of their special cadences come from. Ren is bedridden in Canada guys. He may never tour given his health.

Bas has played cruise ships as a pianist. Just saw an interview done for a german channel and you can see him playing some more. Whilst it is in german, they are talking in english so you can get snippets - but confused as I thought grandsons, but they referred to Nine as "neffe" which is nephew! You need to do Slap the stick and then you are starting to catch up

Uk rappers are actually amazing at syncopation. Often times it gets misinterpreted as off beat cause they dont land in a 4 beat pocket.

They were postal workers who played in a brass band, hence the musical timing and breath control with decent voices. They are from East London and may well have had some minor contact with crime, because many people around there had some contact with it, but I don't buy that they were gangsters. P&B may have some influence over their lyrics, and that may well be increasing as time goes on but I believe a lot of the legwork is done by their grandkids. I disagree that they should collaborate with Ren. Their styles are wildly different. P&B deliver a gangsta drill whereas Ren offers unorthodox rap borrowing from many different styles from rock to metal to classical. I'd even say that Ren is more musical talented whereas P&Bs talent lies more in delivery. Their grandkids Nine and Dex are talented lyricists and music producers, but they have a recognizable style which you can see come through in what has become P&B's style.

Pete only worked as manager of the postal service. Bas definitely not, he's a lawyer/notary that loves to play piano. Some say classically trained, but there's proof of that.

you need to listen to norman pain (part of pete and bas crew) liste nto norman pain sindhu sesh, and then sonnet, its DARK rap, about the crime norman commited drink drivign hit and run lkilling a young couple and tried to stuff them in the boot of his car but caught byu trhe police and went to prison for 18 years, sindhu sesh tells you of hisa recovery coming out of jail and sonnet about him living wit hthe guilt, but itsa two you need to listen to together, but you need to react to them. SERIOUSLY
