I would like to see another test on a different one.. the bass knob being crushed and the owner saying they weren't nice to it in shipping is very suspect... I have an apcl2004 that has been abused by several people and myself for many years and she still has never given any issue.. this experience with it is why I purchased 2 APDLI2504's for my newest build.. I think another chance needs to be given to this model or any of the newer ones. I would also love to see if there really is any difference between the dealer line and consumer line.. and if there is anything different in my apdli2504's than my apcl2004.

Peoe do need to take better care when shipping. My APCLE30001.D came with a bent mounting bracket. I've had the APCLE2004 hooked up to four audiopipe redline 500w 6x9s. Been almost a year and it still beating on the speakers. So sorry dude. I have had no problems with this amp. I do agree however that all the switches makes it difficult to tune properly. Took about 2 hrs to figure it out lol.

Orion xtr 750.4 is $150!!! Its a class ab monster with 120a of fusing. It was previously branded as the 1000.4 so that gives you an idea how underrated it is. it's even got Tiffany style RCA's! when you open it up you feel like you spent your money really welland almost feel proud of owning it because Orion is really trying their best to match the original quality of the 90s

Wow the apcle is supposed to be the newest line and upgraded apcl... Sorry to the guy that bought it but it was for a VERY good cause. I love my apmi2k but kinda steered away from audiopipe for my mids and highs amp. Better out there... Thanks for another great test Ryan!

I have the apmi on my 2 15s. Pry close too 150db now about to add a 2nd and strap em. Only complaint is it gets so damn hot compared to my old aq 2200. Does yours get hot on you?
@ThePurePlayaz6 жыл бұрын
I have mine suspended in the air in the back of my wagon. Gets warm but never shuts off or anything like that. Been a real gem for me. Ran at 1 ohm.
@chrisjones61656 жыл бұрын
Focus Dark Audio mines at .5 but with rise well over 1.9 so should be fine. Have bolted to back seat with half in spacers for vibration and air flow. Have had shut off a few times.. usually on 30 plus min drives over 90 degrees out as well. 250 amp alt. 2 group 31s in back and all oversized ofc wire.. sky high, some DD so voltage is good. Can't wait for 2nd amp to strap em and see. Hopefully that fixes heat issues, just worried about crazy rise

picked up a Fosgate r400-4 off Amazon Warehouse last week. $113, and it kicks the shit out of the MTX Thunder 75.4. That amp was a disappointment. Ran real hot. Only running a pair of Kenwood 3-ways a Fosgate 12" p1. R400 rocks for hours and you can still touch it. MTX could cook bacon in 20 min.
@timmturner6 жыл бұрын
carl rogers Fosgate amps generally run hot but it's a stable hot, I only have experience with Punch though, not Prime. I have read the R400 runs hot as well but if like the Punch series it won't go thermal.

You made it pop all other test where good. Numbers where there. why did you continue to put overstress into the amp?

I did not intentionally make that amp pop... Why would I intentionally make a amp pop that I had on loan from a viewer? Amp couldn't make its number sorry

Great vid! Ever though about teating pioneers low end stuff, like their cheap 2 channels? I bought a refurb gm-a5602 for 58 dollars and I really like it. Now they are going for about 80 bucks ish.

I was interested in the Audiopipe apmi-2000 because it seemed to be good boom for the buck...but wanted to also get a matching 4 channel amp to go with it. Researching those, all I found was illogically engineered garbage from Audiopipe. The 4 channel of the same series had its crossovers and gain knobs literally underneath the amplifier...you had to unbolt the amp from where you installed it to change settings! Fuckin ridiculous! I tried researching their website too...and that site is the biggest pile of hooey ever! It has only a PDF of their catalog that doesnt zoom well enough in to even read the text..absolutely useless. I went with Soundqubed instead...

Disapointing audiopipe didn't improve on the apcl line with this refresh. They had an opportunity to prove themselves, and they literally blew it. Thanks for the test Ryan. Top notch as always.
@ds18durango716 жыл бұрын
They tried to improve the Apcl lines with the Apcle which literally was better components such as upgraded mossfets. As I stated in above comments, I have never run one of these amps, however was only impressed with the Apcl2504 and the Apnk2504 when it comes to 4 channels. He as I think got a bad amp as it popped (happens to every amp producer, so not really a fair test. Would like to see what it does in a fair testing application as Audiopipes Qc didnt obviously catch this one
@catch22frubert6 жыл бұрын
Ryan Blankenship Nice. I was wondering if they did a refresh for the 1800. That's a highly requested amp. Hopefully it doesn't pop like this one did.

Great job again Ryan. Its confounding how random the quality of the Audiopipes amps is. Spend the money for an ill placed fan and excessive tuning options but yet throw in crappy power and speaker connectors? Too much of a gamble to buy any of them.
@rmblwgn5 жыл бұрын
You-ify products are the most wacky and random of any brand I've ever seen. Look at their subs and the Halloween decoration looking materials they use. yeah their stuff isn't off-the-shelf and they seem to have a proprietary build house but wow is it sketchy looking
@jamest43636 жыл бұрын

I never understand why dyno a 4 Channel amp in bridged mode running 40hz when almost no one operates a 4 channel amp that way. Why not dyno the amp on a single channels running 1k hz. I know it supposed to simulate the same, but like I said almost no one buys these amps to run subs.
@bigblank695 жыл бұрын
The 40hz track is the toughest, and some people do run the rear channel of a 4 channel to.run a subwoofer
@jasonneal5 жыл бұрын
Budget Gem or Budget Bust yes, I understand that. And yes some people buy a 4 channel to run mids and highs and a sub. But 90% buy a 4 channel to run just mids and highs. I would say dyno both ways. BIG D does that on some amps. He dyno’s the 1k track to see if any difference in results. You just don’t see a lot of dyno on 4 channel amps.
