Being able add it as an insert is fancy. Is this the free version of Waveform? If so I am impressed that this is an included feature.

Yes you can do this in the free version of Waveform. It’s very cool to be able to add guitar effects pedals as inserts. Opens up a ton of possibilities with synth sounds and even experimental drum sounds. Lots of options. Thanks for checking out the video Matthew. I hope you’re doing well. Keep creating! 👊👍

Yours is a mixer with a built in audio interface so you can look at it as having an audio interface. I’m not sure what the specs are on it though. I can’t find any info on but rate or sample rate. Which makes me think that it might be a 16 bit audio interface. So technically if you were to get an audio interface that’s 24bit the quality would be better. 24 but gives you more dynamic range but if you don’t have an issue with what you’re currently doing then stick with it. The most noticeable quality will likely be in the recording technique, the microphone (or instrument), and if recording a mic your room will be a huge factor in the quality. The interface you have should be clean enough and get you decent quality for home recording. So if you are experiencing quality issues maybe try recording in another room or try another mic. Or try changing your technique, play around with different gain levels. If it sounds muddy, maybe your levels are too low. If it’s too harsh maybe your levels are too hot. Thank you for continuing to watch. Keep creating! 👊👍
