A wonderful Audiotree! Discovered them when they opened for Hippo Campus in May, have seen them 3 times in the city and oh boy, they're hella talented. Nothing better than humble, talented guys gaining recognition for hard work.

I really liked their album but I kinda wrote them off as being popular because they are cool young dudes who made a pretty good sounding DIY emo album, but I'm also totally impressed by their musicianship too. Making a point to see them live on their tour this fall.

CryptZinoxal I dont think they had the backup guitarist and the piano when they originaly recorded it, and they probably have had more experiences playing the songs and refined what they had to because they have gotten a lot more opportunities to play the songa and become comfortable with them or this one is just way more heavily mixed and mastered, either one.

they sound almost exactly the same except for the piano

CryptZinoxal that’s because mostly because the mixing and mastering wasn’t done nicely in the album

Losing Sam as a drummer hurt this band so irrevocably. All their stuff after the pop songs ep just don't measure up in the slightest.

A lot of the songs just feel uninteresting to listen to. natural, everyday degradation had so many bland songs. I like romeo though but the new album doesnt seem to be reflective of that.

But how much impact do you think the drummer made on the band? Don't you think their later stuff mainly falls on remaining members or whoever whote the songs? Its so different from their og stuff...

Noormis just seems like it dosent have that raw, fun, jammin In the garage type sound. I think drummers are often more important to the sound of a band than the singer is. :(

The organ really adds something to your tunes. Kinda makes your pre-organ recordings sound like they're missing an integral piece to the sound. Love it.
