I find it surper amusing that the clean intro sort of had a bit that sounds like Day That Never Comes, even though it was like 15 years later. Yeah the early 90s grunge killed thrash & hair metal literally over night. The boys were a few yrs late to really be able to take off. At least nowadays thrash is making a comeback...not nearly as big as in the late eighties, but considering how rock music is for the most part dead, thrash is doing pretty good. This is meant in the highest praise possible - this sounds like such authentic 80s/90s metal. You can almost piece in some of the influences...beginning reminds me almost of Maiden, with a bit of Satriani in the solo. The body of the song, while I heard it said it sounded like Testament, I would say much better than Testament. You know who it reminds me a lot of - Flotsam and Jetsam. Specifically Suffer the Masses. I'd definitely put this over a LOT of metal that came out after the mid 90s....it has interesting movements that don't clash in any way, the intro was tightened up, which really helped, and the performance is really solid. Great job, and great song.
