I do know the story of how the album got its name actually. After screaming himself hoarse at every show on their tour, the lead singer went to get his throat checked out at the doctors, where they told him that his vocal cords were shredded, and that if he continued he could go mute. Apparently the doctor introduced the bad news with saying "The dream is over"

I'm glad the recorded version is different at 1:45 when they go into half time. The drummer definitely needs to keep driving the part through by slamming the hi-hat at each quarternote, otherwise it just seems kind of lackluster. I actually hope they dont play it this way live, because its my favorite part of the song.
