Audiotronics Classroom Record Player

This is a fun portable classroom record player I purchased from RadioTVPhonoNut. I wanted a player for some time that I could easily box up and put under the bed or in a closet. I only need it to play one old 45 record and to record some talking book records on the USA's Moon program. Then I can get those books to mp3 and share. Also it would be nice to play some old music once in a blue moon if I get some more from Goodwill, Savers or garage sales.

I remember when I was young I had one that had a FM transmitter in it, so you could listen to your (mono) record on the radio, or on the small speaker it came with.

Yes, I've seen those too. now days it would be blue tooth. Say It would be super easy to add a blue tooth transmitter to one of these old record players. Future video maybe? ;)

In my 62 years, I might have had a singular occasion of using some vinyl record that needed 16rpm. And maybe 3 instances using 78rpm. I think I recall once playing a 45rpm of "Groovy Kind of Love" (Wayne Fontana & the Mindbenders) where the records grooves might have been cut slightly off-center, which made for a varying pitch playback (almost un-listenable). Still, lots of charm in that bygone-era tech. Thx.

In your high school days did you stack your records for automatic play.? Would it hurt it if you hooked it to an amplifier.? RTP has some really good vids. One of his vids shows a demo of his repairing an old Newcomb record player similar to the ones we had in our schoool.

I have this exact model record player that my dad rescued from the local school district. Unfortunately the needle is shot. I need help replacing but I don't know where to get the needle and how to replace it. Please help!!

I have this same player. Mine says it will play mono and stereo records. It’s supposed to put stereo into one channel, but mine doesn’t seem to. Does yours have this problem?

I don't think so. My needle went bad so I can't test until I find another needle.
