The reason is that your Form 1040 is a tax "confession". You are "voluntarily" submitting your statement under penalty of perjury, which now gives the IRS (your government) the ability to fine or jail you if they so choose, if they do not agree with your statement. Read this book by Irwin Schiff: The Federal Mafia. Irwin Schiff was a political prisoner murdered in a federal penitentiary for questioning the validity/constitutionality of federal tax law.

Since the government failed in their main duties of protecting the nation by having an open border. I dont believe i have to pay federal taxes anymore.

Filing an extension does avoid penalties, but not interest on tax due, unfortunately. If you are owed a refund, that's different.

That right so go after the little people, the poor working class, or SSA income with a small side job or hobby to make ends meet. So they can choose medicine or food or heat. Because they DON'T HAVE THE MONEY TO HIRE CPA, AND LAWYERS To keep the irs from running over them with a steamroller.

They already started. I received an IRS letter for my 2020 taxes for $45. Paid my 2020 taxes in August, 4 months late. However, I have not read ANY large corporation paying IRS levied late fees or filing excessive tax deductions. So, I am 100 percent sure the democrats are using the IRS to go after the middle class.

@@victorhaywood9995 It's always been that way; the poor and the middle class are always audited the most and nothing will be any different with Biden's administration. In fact it probably will be even worse for the middle class and the small sole proprietors
