I made a visit to Forgemasters Sheffield today and met The Good Security Guard, The Bad Security Guard and The Ugly One. You make your mind up which is which, it's not up to me to say.
Some people just don't understand the Photography is not a crime, and neither is trespass.

In fairness though, just to play devils advocate, and be a reasonable human being.... he was on private land filming and they didnt want him to be, so general courtisy would be to politely leave. There are laws, there are civil matters, then there is rudeness and hypocracy. Exercise your rights, but play ball too, this is what I dont get. You take the polices name and badge numbers all the time but when you are infringing upon others rights you dont seem to see the hypocracy. I like the channel and the content but at times I see flaw, just like all the other channels

the change of pavement is always a good indication of a boundary , when I was despatch rider I'd park really close to building that had a change of Pavement , that meant it was owned and not public , therefore no parking ticket :-)

I did security back in the uk for years, had lots of police interaction and was a member of the national union of journalists. Yes its often a civil matter, unless its mod, maritime/aviation. Police often don't care who you are or why you are there other than to appease the person who made the call. If there ever is a call "numerous complaints" is usually one person Whilst it says "private property" on signage. Usually Courts will say that private property doesn't start until it is a fenced/gated, or barrier access as others have pointed out. If anyone claims to be security they should have an SIA license in the UK, it has to be worn and visible. They do have to show you their ID, but they don't have to show it to you on camera, and they don't have allow you to take photos/videos of it (so be respectful of that) as the sia license used to have their name printed on (Don't know if they still do or its just an sia number) and they have a right to privacy for their name not to be publicly broadcast. The same as if police were to stop you, they can ask for your name but you are under no obligation to give it unless its related to a criminal matter, security are not public servants. Don't care about getting someone in trouble. They have to show that license. If they don't, screen grab their face, with timestamp, location, and report them to the sia. The only way to stop these idiots thinking they are above the law is by actively doing something about it. Only posting it on YT social media, it doesn't really do much. If the SIA catch them without a license, or without one on display, it can be a fine, or revoking of their license...

And yes they have to have it on display whilst on duty but no ordinary members of the public have any right to ask them for their licence details only an SIA inspector or a police officer can request details that's where some auditors get confused and they start embarrassing themselves

im minded of a story involving security , a firm invited kids to play on a firms playing field it was to be a sort of a saturday club event , but the security staff didnt want any one bothering them.....as they drank their tea and busicuts. the firm quickly sacked the security firm and employed their own staff , the saturday club happened , a few weeks later , and every one enjoyed it

Section 9 Public Order Act 1936: Public place ”includes any highway ... and any other premises or place to which at the material time the public have or are permitted to have access, whether on payment or otherwise". It would seem to me that where you were met the definition of public place. I would argue that the private premises started at that brick wall. There were no signs on that access road saying 'Private Property - by invitation only'.
