@give me Chocolate I hate sanctimonious people that use the evil acts of the few to justify the invasion on liberty of the many. This kind of thinking is short sighted and is leading our world in to ever more depths of manipulation and control. I respect your believe that the officer is only trying to do the right thing by asking for information but if we live in a world where we must obey, can you not see the danger for individual freedom.
@jamienoonan11864 жыл бұрын
@give me Chocolate I disagree, your stating opinion just as I am. We have a difference of opinion and that's fine by me. What wouldn't be fine by me is if I was forced to agree with you. I believe in a free and fair society where one can live the life they want. Blindly obeying rules has lead to the worst atrocities in human history (my opinion). We are individuals firstly that live collectively in society. The individual should always take precedence.

The chap who thought the confused copper needed some help, was a vagrant who hangs around that area , usually in drink, on a daily basis. He has regular contact with that copper and thinks they're best buddies. The copper seemed bored to me and thought AB was an easy target for a fine. Do these officers get no training on the application of legislation? Section 47a, as AB points out, needs authorisation from a senior officer, and has time and geographic limits. I suspect one was not in place, making the use of 47a powers unlwful. Also, there are no powers of detention expressed in the Health Protection Regulations. The power to 'detain' is their power of arrest, given under section 24 of PACE.

The office of Constable is now a complete joke. More like press-gang officers cajoling members of public to submit to the powers of the state. Camera's are part of everyday life, unless, your employed as a Police officer, who find it suspicious.

Considering PC 21040 Mark Owen got an award for the most arrests in a year a few years ago, looking at his behaviour in this video, the only reasonable conclusion I can come to is that he abused the law and people's rights in every single one of his arrests. After seeing this only a stupid cop will say that he did nothing wrong. A reasonable person will demand to see the details of every one of his arrests.
@Tiny-Tim4 жыл бұрын
Wondering how many of the people arrested managed a successful claim for being arrested illegally. The incompetence of P.C. 21040 has probably cost us tax payers thousands, he needs to be sacked asap.
