@@seananderson7369 section 33 criminal justice act 1972 www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1972/71/section/33 its a public place there is no law restricting photography in a public place, the world gets filmed non stop 24/7 by security cameras and never complains or protests, yet put a camera in a persons hand and everyone loses their shit with made up laws they don't understand and more so today because everyone has a movie camera in their pocket on their phone, having watched this now you know about public photography, so when you get swarmed by security in the shopping center for taking a selfie you will understand your rights and where you stand and will be able to educate others.

I think there's usually 2 types of auditors: the first type is where they only do it to get a rise out of people and cause a nuisance, knowing that they can get away with it. The second type, like Auditing Britain, actually test people and expose the lack of education, he also teaches us normal citizens which is a nice bonus. Even if part of the road was private land there is an implied right of access to the public due to them not having a physical barrier between their land and the public land. You can be asked to leave private property but not doing so is a civil issue and not a crime and a court order has to be applied to remove you unless you are there to commit a crime, force can be used to remove somebody from private land but only when necessary so if AB wasn't being agrresive or violent then any use of force would have been assault as it would be excessive force. They not only caused Alarm Harassment and Distress which is an arrestable public order offence under section 154 and they (probably) also commited a crime by not having their SIA licence on show when working in a security capacity with a member of the public which is a crime under the Private security Act section 9. If AB was recording inside a prion it would be a different matter and a criminal offence under the prison act section 40D but that does not apply to outside of the prison. I would have brought charges up against these G4S personnel with the officer that attended the scene, not showing the license alone can be a £1000 fine or 6 months in prison and another £1000 maximum for the Public order offense.

G4S are scum. We had a routine visit from British Gas a few years ago but it was G4S contractors they sent.. The guy literally acted like he was a debt collector or something, really bizarre and inappropriate attitude. We complained to British Gas and they said they'd "look into it, take all complaints seriously, hold their contractors to the highest standards" etc etc. We never heard anything back so who knows if they ever followed it up...
