I don't think they tried to be, just to explain that you can't just wander around an open prison filming inmates. When they first approached him he was doing precisely that - and had gone beyond any footpath. Open prisons have a real problem with the media trying to photograph various prisoners. For instance, when Jeffrey Archer was in one the media were constantly trying to get pictures of him. Does anyone think that there should be no restrictions on that activity?

I was released from this prison HMP Springhill in the beginning of the year. It's a Cat-D prison open conditions so you get to go out to work and get used to civil life again. Grendon is further inside a proper locked up prison with no access inside. But yes a phone inside the prison is a threat to security and inmates are not allowed phones especially smart phones. The prison issues you a normal phone without cameras or internet when they allow you home leaves or leave the prison for work. It's one of the best open condition prisons in the UK. I waited 4 months to get into that place. The young prison officer who is bossy is incharge of inmates living allocation he sits in the reception. But yes AB I liked the way you told them that you are NOT AN INMATE so stop talking to you the way they was. They talk down to prisoners like they are children its inhumane. Good Work and I watched this video twice. Keep it up bro. 👍❤💯

@@PhenomStaR He’s out December 2022. He got 5 years for fraud. So no violent crime or anything like that. His sentence takes the piss. He’s ex army and served 3 months in Afghanistan. So they give him 5 years when he really should of got 3. You get nonces that get lighter sentences. It makes my blood boil you get someone that served our country and has been through and seen some horrendous things out there. Then you get nonces that are a danger to the children of our country and they get F all time. 5 years is what Rolf Harris got and he was abusing his daughters mate from when she was 12 until she was 18. Sorry got sidetracked what’s spring hill like then? Is it true on town visits you can’t go to the bookies? Do they breathalyse you when you get back?

If you ever think on with visits like this, ask them to clarify where their boundary line is and how any reasonable person would be expected to know not to pass that point. There always seems to be a boundary 'just down there' without any sort of markings or delineation. Prison officers have full powers of a constable when acting as a prison officer, so yes they can, it also states on the fence where the public footpath is that mobile phones are prohibited beyond that point. So before you start with they can not do anything get your facts straight.
