From Google review (Great Yarmouth jobcentre): They leave people's personal information on display for everyone to see and take note of. When I complained they told me that I don't need to worry about that and I shouldn't be looking in the first place. NO! GDPR holds you responsible as a data handler to keep people's personal information private and ensure that the general public do not get to see it! Absolutely disgraceful and shambolic.

As for the job centre I went in there with my daughter in law and while waiting to be seen I heard every other persons business and personal details. I demanded a private room because of this and they made a big fuss. So they clearly don't care about privacy at this office. This manager needs to be fired and the security guards need serious re-training. Imagine paying for a service all your life and those that should provide that service do the opposite! For somebody on a mobility scooter it would be difficult to access that police station because there s a dip around the entire station that the scooter would ger stuck in.

Absolutely astonishing that the manager of the Jobcentre is so clueless and thick he didn't realise he was admitting they are breaching GDPR within the building, when he told you you couldn't go in because there is personal details on display that you might film, which means every time someone goes in without a camera and sees the information with their eyes, a GDPR breach has been committed by the job centre! Its a publicly accessible government building. The second a landlord, g4s, manager etc deny any member of the public, access to a publicly accessible government building. Then the building is effectively no longer fit for purpose. Well done, close the doors and do not reopen it as a publicly accessible building, because it isn't any more. I would imagine a lease has been signed for the purpose of being a publicly accessible building. What landlord in their right mind would trespass the public and instantly make the building unfit for purpose and also probable breech the lease agreement.

I used to wonder why the police would turn up in big numbers to restrain one person, but saw a video where an officer explained that the person was less likely to be hurt by several people restraining them than one or two officers. If the person resisted arrest, then a scuffle would be longer with one or two officers whereas several officers could subdue the person quickly and with less of a struggle, meaning the suspect was less likely to be hurt. Added to this was the risk of the person's friends getting involved increasing the risk of injury to the officers (and escape of the detainee). I'm not a fan of the police, but there is some logic to that. Those job centre guys were hilarious. The boss suddenly laughing was creepy, as though he was hearing voices in his head. Keep up the good work, AB!

An officer explained that 'the person was less likely to be hurt by several tyrants restraining them?' Seriously? Would that be so 2 could hold each leg, 2 could bend up his arms, 2 could kick and punch him, 2 could taser him if he resisted while 4 could sit on him and the last cruel little thug could put him in a choke hold. And they would still call for back up. You clearly live in cloud cuckoo land.

PTTP went there and got arrested. That's why they're so hostile. The DWP as of April 23 has changed their policy about filming in DWP buildings and now you need their permission. I am fairly confident that this is a direct response to PTTP and his many many audits in job centres. I suspect the drone laws for sub 250g will change soon as well.
