They said it had low ratings, and that's probably because it was a more realistic/down to earth look at the ballet/dance world than the overly gritty/overly dramatic dance shows and movies that were cropping up around that time(ie. Breaking Pointe, Black Swan, and Dance Moms).

It's also something else, unfortunately AMS has a tendency to open a lot of stories, she does not follow them and sometimes they just are left there, in the air, without any resolutions, characters appear and just leave, that happened a lot on Gilmore Girls but the good chemistry among the Graham and Bledel plus the rest of cast helped to conceal that mistake, unfortunately in the 4 episodes Netflix produced one could finally tell, years passed and that... whatever that was actually was not good.

I LOVE Gilmore Girls. And found out that this show had some stars go from that show to this one. Wish I had known that. I have heard of this show but thought it was just about people dancing and what goes on behind the scenes (like a reality show) so I never watched it. I used to be in dance classes so I know what goes on in the green room and things backstage. Now I regret never watching this. Love Sutton too. She's awesome!!! This show got about 3-1 million views per episode. Guess what other show got that many? Pretty Little Liars. So why did ABC Family not keep Bunheads but kept PLL?

Is they would have kept it at an hour where people,namley actual little bunheads, who weren't either being shuffled off to Sunday night church or eating dinner with the family somewhere...the ratings wouldn't have been low!! They delebratly sabataged Amy's show! Besides, by the time I was telling my little ladies who were regular customers at my shop...it was close to ending.....ugghh! Well actually, I was wondering where they were going to take each of the girls after the joffree audition and the finale of the nutcracker ballet.....I KNEW it wasn't going to last forever

Yes, low ratings. I watched the first episode with great interest, then realized that each new episode was dumber than the previous, gave up after 3-4 episodes, and wasn’t surprised when the show went off the air. many actors/actresses from “Gilmore Girls” must’ve still had contracts that needed to be fulfilled. It wasn’t “Amy’s” show anymore, it was “inspired by” Gilmore girls. Amy stopped her involved with the show the year before Gilmore girls went off the air.

I *really* enjoyed this show and hated that it was cancelled, BUT I hate that ASP got another greenlight and made another white ass show. At least there was Lane, Mrs. Kim, Ms. Patty & Michel in the Gilmore Girls, but this show was floury.
