Nothing short of one of the most memorable character introductions in recent memory. So many classic lines ("This is show business?" - "Besides you're not going anywhere" - Jack Baker's casual head turn upon hearing the words "I've been on call for the AAA Escort Service"). And then during the sensational performance, I'll always remember Beau Bridges' reaction at 6:07, and the fantastic jump cut after "So" at 7:11. That jump cut is the editor's version of a mic drop.

This was an awesome ensemble cast. Everyone raves on Pfeifer and Jeff, but it was an equally impressive performance from Beau to be the “not quite as talented, bitter about it but accepting and pragmatic about it” brother... the one “outshone by the younger sibling...” His performance was necessary in order to showcase the contrast of Jeff’s character - not easy to deliberately aim for a “second banana” performance. The other two could smoulder so well because Beau was so “uptight and buttoned up”...
