Wow, I LOVE this. I love Audrey and her signature look. She borrowed heavily from the theatrical ballet makeup genre in her early years. You know what? I really miss that quality that women had in the late sixties and early seventies that separated the women from the girls. I can’t find the right words to describe it. I just remember as a little girl I would admire the, I don’t know what, “older” quality women over the age of thirty seemed to have back then. I miss it. Now everyone is aspiring to look as young as possible

I know exactly what you mean!! It was quite... formal, I suppose? Very Put Together. There's something so adult about that, and it's not a thing any more... perhaps because makeup was more staged before, and so was femininity. There's a lot to be said for leaving that behind, of course, but the costumery of it is a Look, for sure. I do that kind of look sometimes, when I want to be taken seriously AND almost emphasize that I'm a woman and that that goes TOGETHER, if you know what I mean :D

I first experimented with Mac Studio Fix (N3) as an eye shadow primer/base about 20 years ago. It creates a fabulous canvas. I'm bewildered by the array of products and brands (esp in Superdrug, Boots, etc), so tend to stick to what I know. I miss Mac Velvet nail varnish - it was great!

I swear Nic, You and Sam are THE most beautiful, natural and genuine women in the business. I've had to order a couple of setting brushes. I've been using RT brushes since they first launched, and how I've gone all these years without applying foundation with the setting brush I don't know. Can you please do a tutorial for those of use who’s eyebrows are not very high above our creases? So many you tubers have a lot of space there (you included.) It’s very lovely but sometimes I have a hard time making eyeshadow looks work, esp colorful ones with my smaller space to work in.
