Please do not force this diet on your children. Please..veganism as a whole, should be a conscious..personal decision made by adults. Children cannot consent to this. It is not enough nutrition for children's growing bodies. Bones, brains, teeth. I was vegan almost 5 years and it destroyed my teeth, my digestion, my mental health, I was anemic no matter how much vegan iron I ate, no matter the b12 supplement, I was still b12 deficient. I became severely deficient in Iron, b12, vitamin D. And I took my supplements every single day, from day One. The vegan diet is void of cholesterol. Some people like to make it look like all cholesterol is bad for you, that is NOT the case. Our bodies *must* have it. Our hormones, brains, and nervous system need it to function properly. It sends messages to differentparts of our bodies, good cholesterol is an essential building block. The vegan diet is also void of 15 important vitamins and nutrients. To be vegan, you must supplement with vitamins for the rest of your life. Does that really seem to make sense? Does that really seem like a choice that's optimal for children? It is always better to eat our vitamins. We have been eating animal products since the dawn of time. We have. This is not enough for children. Theres no right way to do it. Do some research on the downsides of this, and the consequences. I had 12 cavities and lost two teeth while I was vegan. My gums completely receded. I never, ever had tooth issues before veganism. Ever. And after I quit, those issues completely subsided. I'm saying this not to come at you aggressively, it's a desperate warning. If you want to be vegan, that is your adult choice to do so. Please do not force this on your children. It's not enough. It's not our Natural diet

@@IndigoRoses7 if my kids occasionally want meat that's fine as long as I know where it came from. Meat is filled with steroids and chemicals and tbh I can't afford the better for you stuff. I know your comment is from concern and not hate. I definitely plan on talking with their doctor since my goal is to have healthy and happy children. I am a firm believer that not every diet is for every person as genetics definitely play a role.
@Bunni5042 жыл бұрын
@@Rachel-ot4fz farm factory meat is probably fill with the chemicals. If someone wants to eat meat, they are better off raising their own animals or hunting them. It’s much safer that way. If they can’t do that then organic meat is the third option.

A friend of mine just lost around 8 kgs in under 2 months by checking on her calories. She eats healthy but the amounts were too high. She wrote down all her calories a day and tried to calculate how much she should have. She is very strong willed, as i doubt i could get around counting all that... but i can assure you it's real ! Maybe you don't really need to go crazy like she did, but revealing how much you actually take in, might be opening your eyes. Remember drinks have calories as well and ALL THE BEST to you !

That’s a very well rounded and nutritious lunch! As long as you supplement b12 a vegan diet is extremely healthy. More likely to be mindful of what you eat, and to eat a lot more fruits and vegetables. Some of the other commenters need to learn more about nutrition. (I’m not vegan by the way, but I went to school to be a dietician.)

I recently read that avocado is not vegan due to the way it exploits bees to grow. Is this true or is it something I should cut out? Love the channel by the way!
@jennaelyse70235 жыл бұрын
Victoria Benson bees pollinate more than just avocados. Being vegan is about doing your best but unfortunately if we were to cut out all the foods that bees pollinate we would have very minimal options. I’m not sure where you live, but if it bothers you that bad, you could buy from a small local farmers who don’t utilize bee farmers or buy yourself an avocado tree if weather permits. I live in California and there are tons of local farmer where I live!
