It is "Die noske polizei" since the one leading this polizei was Gustav Noske suppressing the socialists and communists

Gustav Noske was a social democrat who sent the Freikorps who, among other things, murdered Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. Later in West Germany, where newer versions of the song were sung, the police who wore green uniforms, grüne Polizei - green police, so i assume the lyric just fit better

Wait but isn't it a N@z¡ song ?
@biswadipdasgupta4204 Жыл бұрын
It was originally a song sung by German soldiers in the first world war, then given these lyrics by Bertolt Brecht, then appropriated by the eponymous scum.

I thank @biswadipdasgupta4204 for this explanation! Let me add something personal here: We have to make a clear separation between n.s. thoughts and things older than them. Throwing everything into the same box - if you want to call it like that - would lead us to the conclusion that the whole German culture is an ill-bred thought and a cancer in the middle of Europe. I don't know if I have made myself a little bit clear here. But I will answer any questions that may come up.

@@maanzurmahtab2323 Oh, that's no problem. I just think it is important to draw a line between mere patriotism and far more extremist views that build upon this.
