😁👍... neither did I till I happened to be passing thru 1 day and seen it gone . I sent a letter to the address explaining I was a mad awp fan and asked where the door went, did it still exist , where was it etc , but I never expected a reply, but I put my number on the letter and the guy sent us a message saying the door was getting in a bad way with rot and all that so needed replacing. He said it was in an outbuilding and he knew of its awp history. I cheekily asked if I could have it ,,, he could see I was awp bonkers and said it was mine if I could collect it. I was there like a shot . It was a big old door.... 2.5m high and 110cm wide . Roof rack job , just fitted ..... and you've seen the rest 😁👍.... donkey shite pal 👍

Thanks Mike..... im certainly chuffed to bits to own such a significant piece of awp history. Last time I went to Thornely manor, and they were doing building works, I grabbed a brick and a roof tile as souvenir, but the door is the big prize.... and I consider myself very lucky indeed to av acquired it. 👍😁

Just looked on google earth street map at the door on the house am I mistaken but it looks like he has the thornley manor sign on the garage wall I’m probably wrong 🤔

Well I don't know about the Thornely Manor sign actually being at the property, the only sign visible on street view as far as I can see is the Beesthorpe Hall sign at the entrance junction with the a616.
