@eangelos89 VR is when the whole environment is changed and the user is placed in a completely virtual(!!!) situation, whereas it's AR when the environment in which the user operates is the real one except augmented(!!!) with extra data the user cannot otherwise acquire in reality. If you can't figure out the difference it's not too bad, most people don't understand it; but don't try to tell other people what something you cannot comprehend is.

The holodeck was more virtual reality, because it actually created the world around you, not just adding tags or info to a camera feed. It didn't augment reality, it created it. 3D glasses are a bit of a closer connection, they take what you see, and show you more, creating a changed image, not substituting a different one.

The holodeck is more VR then AR, as it is all virtual, and isn't adding anything to an existing environment. That is, the holodeck is the environment.

At any-rate not to take the fun out of what you do but i come here for a bit of a reality read... main stream tv media is less than reliable/ maybe valuable save the adds . did you catch the Ron Paul slam and the retraction the Honest mistake blip. on another note - is there anything to the oxygen/ air augmentation causing mange and asthma in wildlife and pets?

i really hate short sighted developers and eager early adopter consumers.. though i shouldn't. just dont buy gimmicky shit otherwise you;re going to spur innovation in the wrong direction. btw i had this idea 20 years ago, i called it overlays and they work like the contact lens, except i want to send signals directly to the brain
