Thank you for your kind comment. All the locomotives in the clip start 3:14 are Alco's, 80 class, 48 class and 44 class respectively. Last count there were around 12 x 80 class still in service with a number stored. I believe there are some 30 x 48 class locomotives still in service, some rebuilt as a different type and 13 x 44 class locomotives preserved or stored, with only 1 left in commercial service (the one above). There are quite a few steam locomotives around Australia in preservation societies. Maybe 50 - 100 all over the country. The oldest in Victoria is the Y class built 1888 or 1889. It still sees a good amount of runs on the mainline. There may be older types running in New South Wales, but not sure.
