Thank You for your youtube classes and professional podcasts. 4 years ago we watched your huglekulture lasagna layering grave and loved it. We went out and dug 15 - 4X16' beds (by backhoe) that are 3' deep. I layed old wood then woodchips laying alfalfa, straw, October leaves, manure, compost and soil. My first year was great! This is my 3d summer and my garden soil is amazingly rich and I've doubled the garden size. You are so good at addressing the problems and solutions that we get stuck on. The videos are Awesome. Thank You for your practical gardening advice. Please keep it up!

Malabar sprouts slow everywhere. You actually may be able to transplant it to a pot for the winter. I've seen it grow indoors before. If not, you can harvest the leaves no matter how small it is. Just to try it.

My mom wrote a book on Early American Decorating Techniques (the actual name of the book, her name was Mariette Paine Slayton), by writing a letter once a month to a friend describing in detail different techniques she used to decorate tinware and trays, antique furniture stenciling, etc. Her book took a while to finish, but finally got picked up by McMillan Publishers and did well, all many years ago. Writing a chapter a month is a great way to get your book done. Good luck, Greg and thank you for the video!

I'm away now for 3 days with no rain so hope everything does ok at home. At least it isnt't crazy hot anymore like it was earlier in the summer. My cucs and the winter squash I tried for the first time did bad this year. They all came down with bacterial wilt I believe but I still was able to ferment three big jars of pickling cucumbers so all was not loss. I put peas in a few weeks ago also. You might be a little late where you live but they look healthier than mine. Peas really struggle in the heat which is why I usually don't try for a fall crop but I wanted to try putting them in under my tomatoes along a fence as I removed the lower leaves just to see how it works. Hopefully we both get peas in October!

I love those delicata squash - they store well, but the skin is tender enough that you can cook and eat them with the skin on. Makes great tacos if you slice them into thin pieces and roast them with some cumin and chili powder. My bush beans did great in grow bags this year, but this year, any bean seeds I planted in-ground were mowed down once they sprouted. Every year is a new adventure.

Malabar spinach loves the heat, it grows well in tropical climates. It does die back when it gets cold.

Looks fabulous. Sharing your "not so greats" is very helpful too. Wondering how your basil tastes. Mine looked great,made pesto and had to throw it all away. Incredibly hot and bitter. Thought it would have loved the heat. Leared my lesson will taste basil before using it.

I pulled my peas out and replanted round 2 on August 4th. Ive had good success when ive done a second pea crop in the past.

Garden looks great this year ! I have 2 neighbors that both grew cucumbers this year . They both ordered straight 8 seeds from Vesey's , label mix up , both neighbors ended up growing pickling cucs instead of str8 8 slicers ... I hope they make good pickles lol . 😎👍

Everything came early this summer and everything seems to be finishing early! I sowed beans in my empty garlic bed and they did not come up! I searched for the seeds but I couldn’t find any. Critters?
