Hello from Southern New Jersey, Robbie! I so appreciate your perspective and videos. You share so much of yourself. My cyclamen seeds are sprouting in the cupboard! I am planting the seeds in the suggested potting mix. I will be placing them in my mostly unheated barn for the winter. They won’t be seeing the sun until spring. I love these little plants in my woodlands. I would not be trying this without your advice and encouragement.

Hi Robbie, that thing on the oak is a knopper gall from the gall wasp Andricus quercuscalicis. I now only mow 2x per year and managed to get tons of insects in the garden that way. Enjoy the nature 😊

Nothing wrong in hugging a tree I often have a hug close your eyes and feel mother earth coming up through the roots and in to you.
