To help clear things up for everyone who was expecting to get a full $25 palette in their $10 birchbox: It's a sample of the palette not the whole thing, since the point of these boxes is to get small samples to test out. They show the palette to let you see what the whole thing looks like and you get to try a shade to see if you like the formula, pigment, etc. (btw I have the actual palette and I love it it's so pretty!)

Bunny, just a heads up. When you see a whole palette or trio of colors (like a lipstick set) in your box preview, you'll only get one color choice for your sample. They are show the product the way they have it available for sale in their store, since you can't buy individual colors.

+Lauren Whaley I've had it a few months and this was the most disappointed I've been. Although I was really happy with the face scrub and hair oil, and the blemish serum is still a good sized sample to try. For some reason I had 2 of the eyeshadow and both of then were completely busted. This video just reminded me to contact their customer service, though. Overall I have been very happy with them all. Even with the eye shadow being busted, I still feel like it was worth the $10. I'd also like to note that the insert specifies the shadow as being from that palette, and that they list prices for all of the full sized versions of products.

Actually, the card lists the values for the full size items, not the samples. So the single shadow is a sample shade from the palette that you can buy from the store if you liked it. And birchbox customer service has always been great about damaged items - they'll definitely replace broken samples!

The beauty protector oil is AMAZE. I got that sample size 2 years ago in my birch box and have bought the full size twice now. I use the sample size for travel. I love it so much.

My Manna Kadar eyeshadow came shattered too, so I emailed Birchbox with some photos and they quickly shot me back a reply. They were super nice and apologetic and sent me a replacement, which arrived in a box all by itself, with extra padding, and in perfect condition. So if you guys get a broken/damaged sample, let them know! I noticed a ton of people complaining that their eyeshadow sample came broken on Birchbox's Facebook page, but none of them mentioned actually emailing Birchbox about it. Also, my sister got one in her box, and it arrived safely.

I got the crimped tube of Honey concealer and it had a pin size hole in the twist off cap and had gotten all over everything in the box. I assume from the heat but idk. I emailed them for replacement product that wasn't more concealer bc of the heat issue, they sent me out another tube of concealer. SMH.. Also, I did get a little sample of the pallet as well, mine wasn't broken but it was a 50/50 of some bronzer/ highlight (unless it was shimmer shadows..idk). Also not impressed that it wasn't the whole pallet. Would have rather had a pretty coloured broken eye shadow that I could fix, than whatever that was. My 4 year old was quite excited for it though I have to say..

I'm in the uk and Augusts birchbox came on a neoprene wash box. Mine arrived really dirty and tatty looking then the full size waterproof eyeliner was all broken too... They quickly apologised and sent me replacements. It's disappointing about the eyeshadow or palette. Let us know what birchbox say when u message them!! Birchbox doesn't really send out full palettes, but something like one full-sized shadow or a mini quad from the palette as a sample to try.

it wasn't suppose to be the full size palette. it was a sampling from the palette. they choose one shade for sampling and it was a very generous size sample. mine was broken,but they sent me a new one that was not.

Birchbox has the best customer service I've ever seen. All you have to do is email them and they are so nice about fixing any issues. Got mine resent in a week and I got to keep the smashed one so double the product!

I love birch box but I've run into their false advertising MANY times before. That is very likely one pan out of the whole pallet. This is a "sample" box... There's no way they'll ever give you the whole pallet even though they show what's "supposed" to be in your box. Be that as it may, I still love my birch box. I've tried ipsy and smash box and couple others but I love the boxes (I use them for EVERYTHING!!) and I have fiiiiiiiiinally dialed in my subscription options and now (after 2 years lol) usually like almost everything. Love is rare, but like is common lol.

It wasn't supposed to be an entire palette. They ALWAYS send info on the palette that the item came from so you'll know what to order if you love the single shadow sample. Pretty much how they always do it. They aren't going to send out $25 palettes to hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

You can take rubbing alcohol and just pour drops in their move it and do it until it's a mixture of paste/liquid and then let it sit and dry until it's completely dry and looks like a regular looking palet

I'd like to see both unboxed, please. And a thought about that broken, incomplete palette- perhaps the supply wasn't there, and whole palettes had to be broken up, stretching the supply by 3 times. However, that means the protective packaging isn't there to prevent damage. I think I would note this and if next month's box contains incomplete products, I would definitely write a letter to the company. If possible, attach the clips pertinent parts. Thanks for giving me so much fun. I'm one of your older viewers at 60+ but I still want to look good. And I appreciate that you aren't crass, vulgar or negative. When I was subscribed to Birchbox I had the same thing happen with the palette deal. I got 2 very, very tiny samples of eyeshadows that were in the palette they said, but no palette, and hardly usable baby samples.

The eyeshadow was broken for me too haha, but i think it was just supposed to be one of the colors from the palette, not the whole thing. The put the full size under the product to show you the full size you would buy to get that color. I think thats what happened haha ☺️

I had crazy dry lips when I was on acutane and Waxelene worked better than anything else i tried. Highly recommend! it is also my favorite thing to put on my legs after shaving. It prevents razor burn and leaves my legs feeling super moisturized for days!

I got that exfoliator in my ipsy bag - very very fine granules and I really liked it. I use it for when I travel and it makes my face feel clean and fresh after removing my makeup.

EVERYONE got just one eyeshadow. I think several came broken. Mine was intact, but I too am disappointed it didn't come as a palette.

Ive been using the vasanti Brighten Up Face Scrub for 3 years now, I LOVE IT!!, But huge caution, do not scrub to hard, and make sure your face is very wet!!!
