I've been hearing about Lipsense liquid lipstick for months, and I finally got to try it out for a full EIGHTEEN hours! I put it through a few tests and really tried to push it to the limit (within reason, lol). What do you guys think?

I know this is old news, but I have used Maybelline super stay in performances during the Texas heat throughout football games performing during half time. I'd put it in around 6pm, sweat my ass off, and it would still mostly be on by the time I got home around midnight. Never looked patchy, didn't hurt like lipsense does (my mom bought some and I've tried it), and overall I would also recommend it if anyone needs a longwear, inexpensive, fantastic product

I got it for dance recitals and I think it works great! I liked it, but if you don’t use the lipgloss that goes with it, it doesn’t work nearly as well. You have to apply the lipgloss before you eat or whenever it starts to wear off, having to apply the lipgloss multiple times is the only thing I didn’t like about it. For me it lasted for about 12 hours.

Or you could get the Maybelline Matte Ink which lasted 10 hours for me while eating and drinking and not worrying about having to touch up with a gloss - only 10$!!!Girl get that instead of that 50$ disaster. I had a similar one too by a different brand and MAN, it hurt so much that I couldn't stand it. But then again, I have very sensitive skin and I'm not great with most makeup. Found out it had alcohol in it too though and threw it away. I can't stand any kind of liquid stain the same as liquid eyeliner.

I tried Lipsense once & was so excited at first. It really does stay put. I remember thinking peeling lips thing was overly exaggerated... Then a few days passed & my lips started peeling to the point where they were bleeding. I mean, actual skin peeling off with raw flesh underneath in spots. I couldn't smile for over a week until my lips healed. So painful! I actually thought I had ruined my lips forever. The exfoliation phase is a total lie. Straight up alcohol is what causes the peeling. I sadly threw my tube away & will gladly suffer through touch-ups throughout the day, because it was not worth having bloody lips.

If you want to have a lip product that lasts longer look into different lipstains, or tinted lip balms. Usually they're much more comfortable than actual lipstick or gloss too

My biggest problem with lipsense is that you need to use an unnecessary chemical to remove it. I prefer makeup that you can remove with just water, or soap and water.

taramorse, I use this stuff all the time, and I don't even own the oops remover. I use the Neutrogena clear bar and it comes right off. and as for the patchyness of that color, I have 3 shades, and two of them definitely preform better than the other one. but that happens with almost every brand.

I use coconut oil or blistex. They say they CANT sell you a colour unless you have a remover which is bogus so I lied and said I already had a remover because I wasn't spending that kind of money on something that wasn't necessary.

The problem for me is. I play trumpet in a show band in a school which has two showchoirs. I'm in one show choir then the show choir band of the other. So when we wear bright red lipstick for show choir and then make it to finals, literally any lipstick will be off because of my instrument. Its not because of sweat, or food, or clothes changing, or drinks. Nothing ever seems to work and I've heard that LipSense works very well for this situation. I have the Liquid Catsuit and it does not work.

This is an old video. A fantastic non mlm alternative to this is maybelline superstay matte ink. It rests at about 10 bucks apiece too, and you don't need some remover to take it off (though I once wore it through a weekend and forgot it was there). It also doesn't streak as much.

Yes, all are pyramid schemes. My mom used to be a MaryKay lady and while she has nothing bad to say about it, I have watched videos where people talk about it negatively. My mom has a lot of extra MaryKay crap in her closet, which I occasionally look at, and I wondered why so I asked her. She said it wasn’t a bad job but it didn’t earn her loads of money and to be a salesperson, you have to be kind of annoying, which she didn’t like. So yeah.....

Lip Sense is HELL! My lips were chapped for 2 weeks after wearing lipsense, even though I put on tons of lip masks and chapstick. There is so much alcohol in this that it DESTROYS your skin. 0/10 do not recommend.

Spaghetti-O Steve chapstick has wax, so it only creates a barrier of comfort over your lips, it doesn't actually hydrate all that well. LipSense also doesn't work for everyone, like many other makeup products

Spaghetti-O Steve You were going through the exfoliating phase. To get through that phase a little faster just brush your lips with a tooth brush. after the exfoliating phase the color lasts longer.

Application does kind of take some getting used to. For me I use flygirl pretty much daily which is a bright red. Once you get used to the application you can put it on with no streakiness or anything like that. The lipstick is bomb tbh.

My sister in law can barely get the lipsticks to stay on for more than an hour. She's asked the distrubuter what she was doing wrong. You should try maybelline super stay 24 hr color! It’s way more comfortable and actually stays for a loooong time. Almost no fading when eating. And it has a clear balm that goes on top that I prefer to a gloss like lip sense. It’s super wearable and amazing.

This is old but this is for new viewers. There is the Maybelline Superstay MATTE INK and the Maybelline Superstay 24 HOUR COLOR. The 24 HOUR COLOR is luminous like this lipstick and is also a two step lipstick, but the gloss is in the form of a balm. The matte one is decent as well, but I prefer the 24 Hour Color better. It's unrealistic to expect lipstick to look exactly how you put it on at 8 AM at 10 P.M.. The lipstick will lose a bit of color but it really lasts. You can eat, drink, kiss, and do everything "else" too ;)

My long lasting lipstick choice is Revlon Colorstay Overtime, it's sold at most retail stores (Walmart) isn't very expensive. I think it's about $10. It doesn't hurt to apply and you don't need to put on a glossy topcoat- one is provided if you want it but it isn't necessary for it to last. Mine probably usually lasts between 8 and 12 hours, depending on what I do and if I put chapstick or something else over it.

There is a cheap lipstick really similar to this, for those who don't have the cash (I know I don't). It's Rimmel London's Provacalips and is 16 hr wear. It goes on easy and you don't have to put on three coats and wait for it to dry like this one. It does get a bit crumbly and sticks to dry areas, but I've eaten pizza in it, gone to prom, and woke up with it still on the next day. It's 6 or 7 dollars and I highly recommend it as an alternative to this :)

My favourite Liquid Lipstick is the Maybelline New York Super Stay Matte Ink. It comes in quite a lot of shades and if you give it the chance to dry properly for at least 5 to 10 minutes it won't come of. I can wear it the whole day and it won't look bad. It costs about 8€ in Germany and I can only recommend it to everyone who wants a long lasting lipstick. You should use oil based make up remover to get it of though
