I've been hearing about Lipsense liquid lipstick for months, and I finally got to try it out for a full EIGHTEEN hours! I put it through a few tests and really tried to push it to the limit (within reason, lol). What do you guys think?

The problem for me is. I play trumpet in a show band in a school which has two showchoirs. I'm in one show choir then the show choir band of the other. So when we wear bright red lipstick for show choir and then make it to finals, literally any lipstick will be off because of my instrument. Its not because of sweat, or food, or clothes changing, or drinks. Nothing ever seems to work and I've heard that LipSense works very well for this situation. I have the Liquid Catsuit and it does not work.

I know this is old news, but I have used Maybelline super stay in performances during the Texas heat throughout football games performing during half time. I'd put it in around 6pm, sweat my ass off, and it would still mostly be on by the time I got home around midnight. Never looked patchy, didn't hurt like lipsense does (my mom bought some and I've tried it), and overall I would also recommend it if anyone needs a longwear, inexpensive, fantastic product

I had a similar one too by a different brand and MAN, it hurt so much that I couldn't stand it. But then again, I have very sensitive skin and I'm not great with most makeup. Found out it had alcohol in it too though and threw it away. I can't stand any kind of liquid stain the same as liquid eyeliner.

I tried this out at a convention once from their official booth and when I asked how to remove it they completely dodged my questions so I was stuck with this on for the ENTIRE con and when I got home I had to take 95% acetone nail polish remover to it and even then it didn't get it all off... I tried Lipsense once & was so excited at first. It really does stay put. I remember thinking peeling lips thing was overly exaggerated... Then a few days passed & my lips started peeling to the point where they were bleeding. I mean, actual skin peeling off with raw flesh underneath in spots. I couldn't smile for over a week until my lips healed. So painful! I actually thought I had ruined my lips forever. The exfoliation phase is a total lie. Straight up alcohol is what causes the peeling. I sadly threw my tube away & will gladly suffer through touch-ups throughout the day, because it was not worth having bloody lips.

If you want to have a lip product that lasts longer look into different lipstains, or tinted lip balms. Usually they're much more comfortable than actual lipstick or gloss too

My biggest problem with lipsense is that you need to use an unnecessary chemical to remove it. I prefer makeup that you can remove with just water, or soap and water.

It only burns if your lips are dry. Continuous use with the gloss hydrates them and it stops. Also, there’s alcohol to keep bacteria from building up in the tube. The tingle is the alcohol evaporating. Once dry the alcohol is gone. It’s actually a great product. Its helped my lips heal from extreme dryness and naturally plumped them due to restoring hydration. I don’t agree with everything the company does, but the product does work 😊 As everything else in the world, it may not be everyones cup of coffee.

I got it for dance recitals and I think it works great! I liked it, but if you don’t use the lipgloss that goes with it, it doesn’t work nearly as well. You have to apply the lipgloss before you eat or whenever it starts to wear off, having to apply the lipgloss multiple times is the only thing I didn’t like about it. For me it lasted for about 12 hours.

There is a cheap lipstick really similar to this, for those who don't have the cash (I know I don't). It's Rimmel London's Provacalips and is 16 hr wear. It goes on easy and you don't have to put on three coats and wait for it to dry like this one. It does get a bit crumbly and sticks to dry areas, but I've eaten pizza in it, gone to prom, and woke up with it still on the next day. It's 6 or 7 dollars and I highly recommend it as an alternative to this :)
