A Day Burns Red and August to Remember are two of my favourite bands.

ABR's old stuff was really awesome because of it's brutality, but I like how they've matured. I didn't like Found In Far Away Places at first, but now I'm picking up on so many subtle things I missed. It's a pretty amazing album.

We can't wait for the tour to hit Toronto. Was it as awesome as we're guessing it will be?

What a great new album! Full of drama and powerful music; a musical touchstone for this generation! A gripping intensity in each song that leads to evocatively expressive interludes, and then all hell breaks loose! Or did all hell break loose before the interlude...in any case, a great album!

Every time I listen to separating the seas I have always asked if they took inspiration from old school Jewish music and it looks like they did! ABR has become masters of incorporating other musical styles in unique ways, and it one of the reasons I think they are so good. All their albums are great, but Found and Phantom were on a whole new level.

Totally agree that this pop music singing in choruses is horrible!!!!!! Most Metalcore sucks because they are always singing like they are having lovesickness, dude whats wrong with you?

I think an amazing screamer that did carry a melody would be Briton Bond from Wage War, especially on the song Blueprints. Check that shit out

FIFAP we thought was the best so far. Every album has been a more progressive and fresh each time. No other metalcore band besides BTBAM that can pull it off in a saturated genre that is mostly linear, predictable and forgetable

24 years old and I still exclusively listen to metal. That means I'm not 'grown-up'? Eh, I don't agree with that. That said, I'll take oldschool heavy-hitting ABR over their newer shit any day.
@GuitarGuy222219 жыл бұрын
Doesn't make you "immature", but you'd be a fool to not admit that talking from a purely "musical" standpoint, their new music is just overall better and more mature. I don't understand what's not "heavy" about them anymore. The vocals are still heavy, the drums are still fast and loud, and the guitars are still heavy. They still sound like them.
@bearfcker58 жыл бұрын
meth0d I think they're more so talking about those stubborn fans who can't accept their evolution as a band. I don't think they're saying "if you just listen to fast and heavy metal, you're immature." But they are calling out the stubborn ones, yes.
