I've seen those gold page colouring books before, one of them anyway. T's World of Coloring channel. Her pages are falling out too, so you are not alone. Shame, they are quite stunning when a page is coloured against that gold. You have some really lovely books. I hope you feel much better soon. You sound quite bunged up.

I had those books by Jessica Palmer very early on in my coloring ( 2016) and now I wish I had kept them! Can't wait to see what you do in them. Forest Diver is the illustrator and i think that the Julia Rivers was an umbrella (kind of like Jade Summer and Coco Wyo had multiple illustrators) . I love the Forest Diver books though (and the paper is horrid- agreed)

Hi. I also have the Forest diver Alice in Wonderland book and I hate the paper. I want to do what you did by getting it photocopied and bound. I’ve never done that. So do you go into your copy shop or whatever and do the photocopying yourself by opening the coloring book and laying it flat and copying each page, and then you hand them the pages to bind it? Or do they do all of the copying and they will do the whole thing? I’ve tried copying some pages on my printer and always see that black shadow where the spine is in the margin. I assumed it would do the same thing on a big copier. I can think of quite a few books I’d like to do that with. Or do you use like a razor blade and cut the pages out before you give it to them to copy or do they do that?

Hi hun !! Oh yes i do it myself by taking the book apart myself, luckily i know how to do this because i used to bind books as a hobby so ive taken books apart many atimes, anyway i take it apart and photocopy each page on its own, so theres no shadow of the spine, and then i bring all the pages and cover and back cover all in one pile to the shop and have it spiral bound for me

You’ve mentioned this quite a few times: why do you hate a black backing on one-sided books so much??? I don’t have any books with black backgrounds so I haven’t experienced this myself. I would imagine that the black backing would mask the leak through of alcohol markers (of course, still need blotter page). Aloha Maia!

I found a coloring book made with this wax -like paper and the lines were black (to mimic with stained glass) it was wizard of oz theme. Found it at half priced book store (new and used books ). Idk if you have a half priced book near you. Ps like the idea of putting it on the paper you want when printed on cheap paper

Oh yes i know those dover books, i have one, just put white paper behind so you can see the p8icture, and by the way i like how alchohol marker looks on that paper., i dont have a half priced books near me but i purchased from them online in the past. I do have a used book store near me and i get quite a bit of books from there ! Hope all is well and happy coloring to you !

Hi Jana !!! Omg its so funny you mention that because i recently got a new gorgeous mat background for my desk which i think you will appreciate !! I agree with you my table is disgusting and really ive been meaning to do something about it for a while now. You will see my new background in my completed pages and upcoming videos but i still have some older videos that i filmed in the past that still have not come out which i didnt have the new background for but slowly i am recording all new videos with that mat.
