If you set up your stands in March, all of the sign is there from last November. The woods is open and the temperature is nice for setting up stand sights. That way you don't have so much to do in August.

Fall Planting time..finally we have a three day front coming in Sunday with over 1.0" of rain predicted for lower Michigan. The heat is finally subsiding. Barasica, radishes, winter greens, peas etc. to be followed with Urea in 4-5 weeks and rye later in Sept. Topping off water holes, checking stands can't wait for the fun in October. @whitetailhabitatsolutions97514 жыл бұрын
I've personally seen/heard them spook deer over a 1/2 Mike away starting in the late 80s. Last year it was crazy the deer that were being spooked by a neighbor that was 3/4 mile away. The deer were between he and I and I could see his headlamp across the valley. Deer were in between us running at me, from him. I use a very dim light focused on the ground...that's about it. In thick timber it doesn't matter that much but with no leaves and big woods or open fields...very, very, bad.

Where the deer are at during the summer doesn't matter...unless you can kill them there during the season 😉 It's cool to get a summer pic if a giant, but unless he is revealing his fall pattern (or where you can kill him) at the same time it doesn't mean much.

It makes so much sense what you say about summer buck patterns and fall buck patterns (I never thought of it that way). So I dont currently do food plots however your no till food plot video has me really wanting to for next year. But I used to get tons of buck pics in the summer then not see bucks in the fall or up until the pre rut.
