We first started visiting Cala Millor/Cala Bona way back in 1989 (Bird man was there too!) and we have visited many times since with other family members, in 2023 we returned as a couple as we sadly lost those family members who came with us in the past and it was a very difficult holiday, we are going back again this year and hope that it still remains our Happy place and the memories will comfort us on this second visit. The Protur alicia is our go to hotel, we love it.

That was our go to hotel, back when it was a family hotel instead of adults only. These days we’ve been told it more resembles a retirement home on account of the number of older people who go. Whether that’s true or not..... I’m not sure. That’s just what we’ve been told by other friends that go there

I think some people exaggerate about Retirement home LOL We had the best time this year and if that's what Retirement home is like all I can say is Bring it on! We go as a couple so Adults only suits us but of course each to their own.

@@tonypettigrew9564Glad to hear you enjoyed it. We were in the Levante a few weeks ago, and of course that’s also adults only. Back when we used to go to the Alicia it was always a nice hotel. Chris Jay who used to run the activities was great at getting people involved with joining in the activities. Sad that he died at such a young age. 36. We lost my late father back in 2018 and it was his happy place. We scattered some of his ashes in Cala Bona.

@@ScottyBugler2005 yes it was very sad about Chris, there was also a lovely couple who ran Champions bar underneath the Alicia for a few years Danny & Donna and sadly Danny died very young too. How lovely that you could scatter your Dads ashes in his Happy Place. We often visit the Levante for the entertainment but have never stayed there.

Just returned from Cala Bona three weeks ago. Stayed at the Levante. Our first time staying at that particular hotel, but overall our 38th time in Cala Bona. We love it. Happy memories every time. Stayed at the Alicia. Globales. Bonaire. Cala Bona Hotel. Catalonia Consul (Now the Catalonia Del Mar). And the Levante. Still waiting to try the one next door to the Levante, The Gran Sol. Maybe one day 🤞🏼

Staying at the Cala Bona hotel in June, usually stay at the Talayot but since it was refurbished think it's too pricey.

2 questions I have I am looking to go 24th September, is there family sports bars there to watch live football with kids ect? Kids welcome in these area in the bars

There’s a good little sports bar at the back of the Catalonia Del Mar. Bar Jemica. Good prices and pitch and putt golf. Plus pool tables and football matches being shown. Well worth a visit. There’s a passageway next to the Rope & Anchor which will lead you to it.
