Its a great track, a real earworm can't get it out of my head and when I do It pops back I then come back here to listen to it all and make it worse. Always makes me want to busk Brighton its a bit cost prohibitive fuel and parking wise but If I'm going to practice anywhere Brighton sea front is closest to me to be by the sea, Its healthy right? 🙂

Great song, great lyrics and great energy! A technical question, it's hard to distinguish between chorus and verse.. What's your approach on the chorus-verse concept? Do you normally try to change up the chord progression and melody?

Thank you! This is a good question… 😃 I think lyrically I try to put the main ‘message’ into the chorus whereas the verse is more about laying out the story/context. Musically I’ll try to strip back a verse to the basic root chords whereas the chorus I’ll typically make a little more flamboyant but I also enjoy experimenting… my favour section of a song is always the bridge/mid 8, even the songs I listen to, it’s often the bridge that sparks my interest 😃🙌🏻 how about you?

I always enjoyed hearing snippets of this song in your busking videos, and when you announced that you were working on a band recording of it, I was hoping that you wouldn't lose the spontaneity of those acoustic versions with an over-produced studio version. I needn't have worried as you've done a really great job with the finished release. I like the video as well - do other countries have 'beach huts' or is that just a British thing? As you seem to have quite an international following now, maybe someone from overseas can comment. This is really a good song, and I hope it gets the wider exposure it deserves. One thing I've noticed this year when busking is that so many people that pass seem to be wearing earbuds or headphones these days, which presumably means they don't get to appreciate our 'performances' (when was the last time you had a donation from someone wearing headphones?). At least now I can assume that they're too busy listening to ARP's 'Which Way To The Beach' when I see them! Good luck with this one, and thanks for sharing the full version with us.

I’m so stoked you like it! I made sure we didn’t go in an over-produced direction. My one rule for recording songs is that they have to be able to sound similar in a live setting! Scott who produced the song has a really good understanding of this, he’s a bit of an audio wizard 🧙‍♀️😃 as for beach huts… I’ve seen them in Australia 🇦🇺 funnily enough in a place called Brighton Beach in Melbourne 🙌🏻 I think I’m also going to assume that everyone wearing headphones is listening to ARP 🤣 I like that!!

@AugustRadioProject thank you bro I haven't tried it yet but sounds doable. I've been out on the busk 3 days in a row however I don't have a lot of time to stay and milk the area lol. Only about 45-60 minutes each time tops
