Hello Shawn. First up, I am sending this message the day after Hurricane Milton, so sending good thoughts and hope you and your family are safe. Appreciate the name drop with Fetchin' Bones! So cool to find another VC'er into them also, along with The Connells. I have that Aztec Camera - I should go back and play that again. Their debut is a classic. Also a fan of Travis, but I only have The Invisible Band. Give Gram Parsons a few more plays, and that is also where Emmylou Harris got her start. Great pickups! 😎

Hey Shawn. You have mention a lot of bands that I have heard of but never explored adding these to the check out list. Never heard much of Graham Parsons but I know he has quite a following. I got to see James play in 1994 in Northern CA. They were great. I love the song Laid. Stay safe and listen to as much music as you can till the power goes out!

Thanks Stephanie! I just checked out and subscribed to your channel. I will watch some videos as well. I am very envious and happy you got to see James in concert.

You brought back a lot of memories for me with this video! An old girlfriend (how appropriate) bought me that Matthew Sweet album when it first came out. I did a speech on Elton John when I was in 7th grade and used that greatest hits cover as my visual aid. And I can't even begin to list the memories I have with Neil Young's Everyone Knows this is Nowhere! And you're right, Neil Young sounds fantastic live! Another great video, Shawn.

Thank you Mark! I am sure you killed it on your Elton speech. I really don’t know much about him personally.. one of these days I will read up on him. So far every Neil album I have is really good to great. Cinnamon Girl is so far my favorite maybe because I always loved that song before buying the album.

@@vinylshawn4757 I got an A on that Elton speech! Cinnamon Girl is great. It's about Pamela Courson, Jim Morrison's most consistent girlfriend. My all-time favorite is probably Cowgirl in the Sand. Never get tired of it!

@@MarkMorris-1962 I love your excellent tidbits. I will do a deep dive on Pamela Coursen now. Wondering why Neil is signing about Jim Morrisons long time girlfriend 🤔Going to listen to cowboy in the sand with heightened ears!

@@vinylshawn4757 I think Neil was a little nervous that Jim would figure it out! Can't remember the entire story now. I might have to look it up myself!

Hi Shawn! I like Sheryl Crow, but don’t have any of her later releases. I have that Matthew Sweet CD. Fetchin’ Bones is new to me. I love Traffic and have every album. Nice copy of John Barleycorn you got! I remember Aztec Camera. Love the Roger Dean cover art on those Asia albums. That Neil Young album is outstanding. ✌️

This reminds me that I should dig out my copy of John Barleycorn Must Die. I almost forgot that I won it! I regret selling my copy of The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys years ago. Very nice Aztec Camera pickup. I rarely see their records around here. I have that Gram Parsons CD and I couldn't get it out of the CD player fast enough!!! It just did not appeal to me at all. Excellent Cure pickup.

I am glad it’s not just me on the Gram Parsons. I played it while I was busy with stuff so maybe if I sit down and soak it in it may improve. I think however it may go the other way and I may stop it after a short period of time. Cool you won the Barleycorn, yes dust it off Brian!
