Fun to follow along - thank you Matt & Paul! I spent 5 years working in an art glass studio here on Bainbridge Island. We also had a studio in California. We made and sold several items, one of which were hand made glass marbles. Classic Italian techniques were used including latticinio. My job was quality control. Each marble made passed through my hands where I inspected it for various things such as bubbles and bits of stone from the crucible. Both of these were considered "no bueno" and would cause that marble to be labeled a "second". It is very interesting to me to watch yours and many other mudlarking videos. When bubbles are found within glass pieces indicating something was handblown, this is a good thing. When I found bubbles in glass it was the opposite! Go figure! I'm slowly working my way backwards through your channel. Love it.

I’ve just come to the end of another fantastic video. The seagulls in the background had me confused for a split second because as a section of the video ended the seagulls were still making a heck of noise. I was by my back door and they were circling and wheeling over head. Noisy buggers! I was amazed to see you find the door escutcheons: I recently found a pair of brass Art Nouveau door plates in a charity shop oddment bin. They were painted in black gloss paint. I bought them for £2.00, stripped the paint, polished the brass, and mounted them on green card and framed them in a mount and picture frame that I bought in charity shop also for £2.00. They now adorn my living room wall. You’re right about people liking to watch the process of you slowly easing off the clay with the chisel and see it flop away. Lovely! That aqua coloured mason jar lid is mega-fantabulous! What a beauty. There’s something about those lids that I find irresistible. I think I would make an illuminated art project with them. Roll on next week 👍🏻

I heard another you tuber talk about napkin rings at goodwill. She said some people buy them and use them as little stands for small items. Your little display at home made me think of them. The art glass you got at goodwill is just art glass and flower buds could go in it. It is mainly an display piece. You may want to take a picture of it and put it on Google lens. I have found several items on it. It doesn't have answers for all items but it has some. A lot of art glass is worth big money. You kill me with your goodwill finds! You have quite a talent at thrift stores. God bless

Hi Tracey!!, first ….thanks so much for watching!, much appreciated. Secondly…. recently I have been using concentrated peppermint oil.
