I wonder what Szeryng would have thought of his Leduc being played like that :D I think he‘d like that
@romeovashishthviolin93844 жыл бұрын
From what one of my teachers who studied w szeryng said szeryng was a very open minded guy and he could see that Augustin was making good music. Even me as an anti pop or anything classical person, I quite enjoy this.

@@romeovashishthviolin9384 Haha, I'm one of those snobs, too. But this playing is amazingly good.

I did not believe a Jazz violin legend can be made overnight; but "NOW I DO!" You play it like you've been a Jazz violinist your entire life. Great duet... SOOTHING... It has a wonderful calming effect on me.
@OudPlayerHBY28 күн бұрын
A Jazz violinist would never play the exact same notes than in the original recording. Grapelli himself never played the exact same solo live for minor swing Jazz violin legend cannot be made overnight to become one you should come up with the stuff yourself on the spot and not from a sheet music.

There is more to you than meets the eye. You continue to suprise me every time with your level of control and musicality. Hope to meet you one day

Okay, now I’ve seen everything. Augustin channeling Grappelli on a Guarneri. This has to be some kind of bingo :) Lovely rendition by you both!

I love the video concept. Django is a hard one to emulate. All those slides and tremolo picking things. Augustin seems to always shine

I enjoy the new generation of classical musicians who show great integrity & respect for all genres of music. Historically, most legit players always seemed to approach popular 20th century styles condescendingly as if they were ‘slumming’ it in order to play non-classical stuff. Hadelich’s feeling, love & artistry in every style he presents is truly heart warming. Thank you maestro!

It appears that it's an arrangement by Grappelli. But he sure did make it sound improvisational!!!

Many Classical violinist who I've heard playing Gypsy jazz or even fiddle music at way too stiff and square in their articulation. Hadelich is by far the exception with a nice rounded swing feel,great job! Hope to hear more outside the classical domain.
