Like two birds singing beautifully. No wonder why violin is said to be the Queen of all instruments.

The violin Hadelich is playing here is a very special instrument. Before acquiring it had not been heard in a public performance since 1988. It was crafted in 1744 by Gesu -- whose instruments are regarded as highly as Stradivarius made instruments. It has an exceptionally clean but still rich and lush tone. We should all be grateful to be able to hear it played after 36 years in private ownership.

I was here to listen to Augustin Hadelich's masterful playing. I'm leaving amazed by the orchestra -- clean, crisp and resonant sound -- and i just about jumped out of my seat at minute 35:29 when they all decides to play the allegro spirituoso theme like it was nothing. Perfect all-around!

Fanny Mendelssohn is most definitely a First Rate Composer, unforgivably underrated by history.

I love the way Hadelich articulates and plays those runs on the lower strings, so thrilling and gutsy sounding
