For best listening experience and impact of the piece, turn your volume down low and listen in a quiet environment-- this movement is played with a mute and in the concert hall sounds extremely soft throughout (as you can tell from the loudness of the background hum and the breathing). At the end, the theme of the "Dies Irae" Gregorian chant appears, and the piece ends in the softest dynamic possible.

I've played several pieces of the repertoire, and Ysaye's Malinconia is probably one of the most difficult I've ever encountered. The awkward positions in which the left hand has to be, the delicacy and firmness with which the bow has to deliver the phrasing, the easiness of playing out of tune...😅 And master Hadelich manages to not only make it sound easy, but also deeply moving, almost like straight out of a dream.. Its amazing as always. Thank you Mr. Hadelich, I learned much of things from you about technique and musicality. May I ask you to share with us how to play chord clear on high positions, for example in e5 on the g string. I amazed from your red violin caprice and I wanna learn much of things from you. You have such a clear and relax dominance on the violin. Thank you for everything, I wish you peace and health

If its possible and if you have time, can you share a video about some really difficult techniques how to play with right way. For example double artificial harmonic with vibrato, for example getting dominance with right way. And also I saw that you don't use a shoulder rest and I also just started to play without shoulder rest. I'm getting more relax then first day but sometimes I still feel uncomfortable in the high position on the g and d string. Do you have any advice for this, if its possible to share something about these, we'll really appreciate it as always.

@sedatakkas8427 I think that Mr. Hadelich uses some kind of very soft rests on his shoulder (under the clothes). He is teaching (one?) small group of talented violinists in USA. But otherwise, he has only practice and perform videos in KZbin. So, he seems to be quite busy. But we never know without asking. Or maybe you have some teachers in your home town? Anyway, read books, watch videos etc. Ask your library to loan those. Et cetera. 👍
